Today's episode is proof of the fact that Ekta Kapoor is the queen of Indian Television...that if tomorrow, she wants to start a spin-off on the original Mills and Boon titled Ishra - Desi M & B on Wheels', she can do that and she would look totally convincing!! I can't stop gushing enough about how WELL DT acted today...how she really pulled out all the stops to make Raman SEE HER, talk to her, HEAR HER OUT...
I cannot emphasize enough how jittery and nervous and excited I felt in the pit of my stomach.. when a 3 second flashback of her massaging his back was shown (God, Ishita actually thought about it), when Raman used just a couple of fingers to remove a stray hair from Ishita's face.. cannot stress enough how DIVINE and IN LOVE the couple looked, with Ishita trying her best to catch her husband's attention and confessing her feelings for him...and with Raman doing everything in his power to avoid her...
The look DT had when Ruhi informed about Pathak;s arrival, it was sooo much in line with the expression on her face during Shaggy's wedding function and right after Manwa Lage song sequence, when MANI was incessantly calling her.. Today she looked like the world could wait until she told Raman she madly loved him, and that, was HOT!
This is proof of the fact that great romance only needs a meeting of minds...and hearts...touch can wait..words can wait...I know it sounds cliche but ankhon ankhon mein jo silsila hai..wahin dil ka phool khila hai.. wali baat thi aaj..
I am so so impressed with Ekta's find. Where the hell did she come across a gem like KP? It's a shame this guy isn't in Bollywood coz he would've given any current Bollywood actor a run for their money..He would straight out sweep past the hunks and the dancers and the chiselled Romeos with the sheer force of his acting and raw s** appeal alone...
The way he tried to manoeuvre around the family's questioning, suspecting looks, the affection sweeping over his adorable Papa face during the last-minute bonding with Ruhi, the frustration and outraged expressed when Romi tried to take the papers away from him and make him rest, the internal conflict and the painful, wrenched feeling of having to cut away a limb from his body he so desperately needs...Wow!! Hats off KP.
I cried, CRIED, with Raman, when he was pouring his heart out during the monologue scene...I doubt any other actor on Indian telly can manage looking gorgeous, real, adorable and huggable while mouthing those lines...though I am not a big fan of "MANI tumhara dost hai tumhen khush rakhega", I felt it in my bones when he said "kya karun male ego hai naa..but I love you yaar, I really love you'..That, was more heartfelt than what Ishita uttered yesterday. How does KP do it yaar? HOW???
DT looked GORGEOUS today...in the brown gold saree, the understated makeup and the lovely hairdo...She looked resplendent and spot-on, as a woman pining for her husband, as a woman desperately wanting to confess her love to her man...the subtle sighing, the chin-in-the-palm look was ADORABLE...the smelling of his perfume was soo real, so genuine..
now THAT'S what I call being in love and feeling it in your veins... subtle, understated, effective and penetrating...not melodramatic and over-the-top gesturing...Silence is a powerful emotion and the lead actors today showcased a broad range of feelings without uttering OTT crappy dialogues.
All the times Ishita missed the cue and looked past her husband's OBVIOUS feelings (especially during the IshMANI track) have been vindicated with the brilliant portrayal of Ishita as the wife on the verge of being torn from within, because she senses her husband isn't just going far away to a distant land...
its more so because she feels and suspects he is LEAVING her and the family FOR a distant land...for good...Since I cant express it as eloquently in English, this is what I'd say - aaj Ishita ne hak jataya ki woh hi Raman jaise tedhe insaan ko sambhaal sakti hai..and this why they are so perfect together..that she, Raman and Ruhi are perfect together...
I cannot forget the longing look in her eyes..of love, of desperation, of sensing something insidious and heart-rending underneath, with the last look Raman gave her while leaving the house...I cannot get over the "mere liye do minute time nahin hai aapke paas?" Yes Ishita, people in love act like real human beings and sometimes demand attention from their beloved ones! And you have finally caught on.
It's a shame these two actors are just co-stars..with such powerful chemistry, how can they keep their eyes and minds off each other???
I know its a total gush fest from my end today, but cant help it!!
Ruhi is back to being the adorable kid she was. She wants her Papa's attention, fair and square. She wants to be all over him and make sure he returns soon. She wants to know Papa loves her and will miss her terribly. She is another wonderful find.
Neil acted slightly better today than yesterday, but phir bhi, CVs uske baal katwane ka kya lenge yaar????
Precap - The whole family senses there's something amiss in Ramans behaviour. It's going to be one painful watch. I will positively DIE if instead of confession, separation happens with Raman flying off to Singapore, forever.
