Ok Fine, I'll add that incident to the Leelas (which means even my Kanha wil become Vasudeva Krsna for a while)...

Not necessarily! Because after Krishna's gurukula, he sends Akrura to Hastinapura as an ambassador from Mathura to see what is happening.
And Akrura meets the Pandavas and all. You will not find that in vyasa Mahabharata. It is in Bhagavatam.

Yeah, I Know That, And I'll Put That In, But You Know The Shift Of Focus, Like After Kans Vadh, Comes In Eklavya, Rangabhoomi, War With Drupad, And Kanha's There With Just Two Events - Sudama And Panchajanya. So You Know The Limelight Will Be On The Pandavas. Anyways, I'll Try To Bring Him In As Often As Possible.

You know, since the 18 times attacking of Jarasandha and Kalayavana, and migration to Dwaraka coincide with the Pandavas giving their gurudakshina, you could have it paralleled to each other?
But Antatah, it is YOUR story, so you are free to do whatever you want!

Yay ! I'm Sure You'll Do Full Justice To It !! I'm Waiting For That !

Really ? Then Why Not ! Yes ! Actually I Have Two Books Which Parallels The Story And I Refer To That Whenever I Need Help. The Problem Is, That The Book Has Two Parts, I Have The 1st Book And Only The Cover Of 2nd Book (The Rest I've Managed To Lose Years Ago.😆). So, I've Told My Grandma To Look For The Book, So Till Then I Think I'll Pause At Kans And Eklavya.

Read all the discussions, I think showing Jarasandha's attacks & shifting to Dwaraka can be a grand news to Kunti via Vasudev's letter, what say? Kanha can be brought earlier in Pandavas' lives, dreams, thoughts, whatever possible 😉 let their Lord fill their lives earlier 😃 I am very eager to see such bhakt-Bhagwan relationship in this story also will you not show Dau's marriage? Invite Kunti & Pandavas in it, or, invite Krishna-Dau with parents in Yudhishthir's crowing. why will we wait until Draupadi swayamvar? it's a long wait 😭
But whatever you want to do Proteeti, please give His morpankh back ASAP 😈😆

Part 32

Kans Vadh

Kans had been getting consecutive nightmares since he heard of the death of his favorite washer-man in the hands of a certain dark-skinned boy. He had sat outside in the cool breeze trying to sleep, but the moment his eyes closed, someone whispered in his ears - Don't dare to shut your eyes, or I'll shut them forever. - followed by an intolerable giggle. He trembled and screamed and fell from his chair, but of no avail. The voice as well as the bearer of it was gone.

Next morning, Krishna and Balraam decided to visit the yagya that had brought them to Mathura. They were amazed to see the huge bow which was not less in beauty than the bow of Lord Shiva, broken by Lord Raam in Devi Seeta's swayamvar. Krishna was fascinated by the majesty of the bow. Oblivious to his surroundings he advanced towards the bow. He was stopped by the guards, but he brushed them aside. He slowly lifted the bow muttering praises for the intricate designs on it. It broke as soon as he tried to string it. The sound of it spread all over the city. Kans trembled in his court to hear the sound, which was followed by the delighted shouts of many citizens, who had definitely recognized the eighth son of their beloved princess, Devaki. But he wouldn't admit to his fears, "WHO ? Who was that ? Guards, kill that person who makes such noise. JUST NOW !" Krishna was visibly embarrassed by the incident. He shouted to the guards, "Sorry, I didn't mean to break it. But then, you should've told me that this great bow is so fragile from inside." The guards were shocked to hear such an explanation. Kans had to drag up the bow (with the help of all his ministers !) because he was unable to lift it himself. They wondered whether the boy was too strong or their king was too weak. But, they were bonded by the king's orders. They proceeded to fight with the boys, but Krishna and Balraam lifted up the two pieces of the bow and beat them to death.

Next day, the brothers woke up to find everyone gone. Sutanu, Akroor's wifehad beem waiting for them with some food. From her, they learnt about the wrestling match that was going to take place in the royal field and that everyone had already left to secure a good place to see the match. They thought how to get a good place. Kanha had an idea, "Dau, the best way to see a match is to partake in it. If we go and fight two or three wrestlers, then we won't have fight our way through thousands of viewers in the gallery !" Just as they were going to enter, the elephant (Kuvalyapeed), now intoxicated with a high dose of liquor, was led by the mahout. It stood just in front of the gate. Perfect timing ! - thought Krishna. "Kurwanayak, could you please do us a favour by removing that cute elephant from our way ?" The mahout, according to his previous plans, instigated the elephant by striking it with his sharp goad. Krishna's anger, uncontrollable in the past few days, flared up again. He went forward and lifted up the elephant by its tusk and with its cornac, and thrust it on the ground thus ending its life. He then broke its teeth and gave one to Balraam.

The wrestlers, who had been seeing this from a distance, prayed that the boys had come watch the match and not to wrestle. But who can stop the inevitable ? Kans ordered his minister cum famous wrestler to invite the boys for a duel. He approached the boys with a trembling heart. But they playfully denied him by saying that mere kids like them were not fit to fight such great wrestlers. "But my child, you aren't mere kids. We've heard a lot about you and your brother, and we just saw you killing that elephant. So, whatever you are, kids or young men, you aren't mere in any case." Krishna said with a mocking sigh, "Fine, if you say so." Krishna chose to fight with Chanoor and asked another wrestler namely Mushtik to fight Balraam. They fought for a long, long time. It seemed that all four were inevitable. Krishna was getting tired. He let Chanoor flung him onto Dau, and both of them fell on the sand and rolled a little distance, letting the two wrestlers gloat in joy of victory for a second. Krishna whispered to Balraam, "Dau, I've have had enough of this. I cannot pretend that they are at par with us any more. Lets end the game here." And then the two brothers exchanged their plans through their eyes. They went forward to their respective opponents and challenged them to a second duel. In the second match they simultaneously lifted up Chanoor and Mushtik, twirled them in the air, and then ended their life by thrusting them on the ground. Seeing this, the audience, who had been awaiting the outcome with bated breaths, shouted out. The cowherd friends of Krishna jumped into the wrestling field, and started singing songs, while Krishna And Balraam danced. Thus, a new proverb was created - Good wrestlers are good dancers.

Kans burned with anger and fear. He shouted with a trembling voice, "Go ! Capture and kill that deceitful Nand, and also that Vasudev ! Go, and kill that Ugrasen, I do not trust him at all !" Krishna was furious to hear such grave insults being hurled by Kans at his elders. He jumped up to the balcony were Kans was seated. Immediately Kans drew out his sword and got ready to face his nemesis. Krishna broke the sword as if it was a mere piece of wood, and pulled down Kans by his hair. However Krishna's anger being a hot but short one, had subsided. He decided to bring a last smile on his uncle's face. He stood with his foot on Kans' chest and spoke, "However useless you might be you're my Uncle, so please seek whatever you wish for, except your life, and I'll give you that." Kans understood that there was no escape from Krishna. He thought about what he wanted but his mind was totally muddled. He could only see in front of him the beautiful face of Krishna covered in sweat. He said, "I heard you wear a peacock feather ?" Krishna whipped out the feather, which was about his person all along, and put it in his hair, "Next ?"
"You are Vishnu, right ? I thought you had four hands ?" Krishna revealed his true form, blinding the others with divine light, "Next ?"
"Ha-ha-ha-ha-"
"Yes ? I did not expect a coward like you to laugh at such a moment. Bravo !"
"I'm not laughing. Have I been too bad ?"
"Yes. Next ?"
"Can I come to you after death ?"
"Yes. Next ?"
"No next, you can kill me now. I want to see your home."
"Fine."
He descended, and putting his cool hands over Kans' eyes he whispered, "Calm down, nobody's going to harm you. You're coming to me, and me only." He pressed Kans' neck and with a soft sound the king's trachea broke. Krishna turned to see everyone standing around with eyes full of tears. Nand asked, "So much of mercy you had inside your little heart and you never us know ?"
"I would have definitely told you if I had known myself. I wanted to kill him with so much of brutality, but I ended up blessing him." Krishna concluded with a smile.
