Actually its quite peculiar. My nani (grandmom from my mother's side) & I both are Cancerians according to our birth time & horoscope. But due to difference in some lagna or alike, she can see & feel spirits but I cannot. But I do use to feel something creepy whenever I visited my nani's place which was well within the city limits. Although I had the least idea about the past of the house until I was 12 when nani narrated me her haunting experiences when she heard about some paranormal activities which was then active in one of my's aunt house.
I was shocked when I learnt that the house was actually built upon a graveyard of a certain tribe who used to live there for years before. The tribe shifted from there when the city limits were expanding. My nani was the prime victim in their attacks until they attacked my mom who was around 8 years old. She fell ill & strangely quite. On the top of it my 3rd maternal uncle who is also a twin of my mom fell sick at the same time but he got well within a few days. After treatment for several days, one of the relatives suggested to do some tantric rituals as they feared my mom was taken as host by a spirit. On the final day, when the rituals where completed, Nani, mom & my uncle where sitted on the huge bed in nani's room when all of a sudden some scratching sound came from underneath the bed. The scratching become frequent & the bed was shaking & strange ugly sounds were coming from all the sides. And suddenly the bed was lifted from one side with a huge cry. All the three panicked. My uncle fell from the bed, my mom started crying & my nani screamed for help. My other two uncles were banging the door to open it as it was closed on its own during the attack. & finally it stopped all of a sudden as it started. They did follow a lot of other things later to wade off all the spirits from there. Fortunately nobody died but yes, it certianly left its devastating effect on the family as I saw unity & trust crumbled within and breaking the family in certain ugly way with my own eyes. My maternal cousins does not much detail about the history of the house since nani only told me about it as I was the eldest & I was the witness of certain activities which I will not post it here 🤢.
The incident on my paternal side was different but it almost killed most of the family members within short span of time 😭. Many other small incidents followed later which made my belief stronger in the existence of 'the other side'.
