"Doctor.. Is everything ok? Is he fine? Please doc... tell me he's all okay", a deeply worried Jodha requested to the doctor who diagnosed an unwell Jalal.
"I am doing my job Ma'am! Please be patient. He'll be alright soon" the doc replied in a calm manner and continued with his treatment.
Jodha sat beside Jalal and held his hand in hers so as to provide him with the much needed warmth and affection. She just couldn't see her love lying like this in front of her and this sight wrenched her heart profoundly.
Jalal had been off-colour from a past few days but his condition had deteriorated suddenly at this odd hour of the night. He had unexpectedly got a fainting spell but he had hidden it all from his beloved in order to not trouble her. But the quick lady that she was, Jodha had immediately comprehended how ill he was and she had right away called the doc. Although she knew that calling a doctor at such weird time would be inappropriate but then ailments didn't come with reminder, did they?
After an aching period of fifteen minutes, she had managed to convince a doc and here he was after some another fifteen minutes.

11:45 pm
"He is better now! Nothing is serious, just a bit of high fever and he might have had dizziness due to the changing weather..also you notified me of his illness from a past few days.. so all that combined, has taken its toll over him. But don't worry. I have injected the suitable medication and he'll be all well by morning." ..the doc said with a comforting smile.
Those words were nothing short of honey to Jodha's ears. She chided herself mentally for not taking Jalal's illness seriously earlier. Had she been careful in advance, the depressing situation wouldn't have arrived. But anyways, with the latest developments, a relieved smile made its way on her worried face.
"Thank you so much doc. THANKS A LOT!" she replied with gratitude. "And thanks so much for helping us out at this time."
"Its alright." And then, Jodha completed the formalities and later, the doc left.

12:30 am
It was a chilly December night but Jodha felt cold for reason altogether different. Yes, she'd been assured that her love was all better, but still, that unconscious form of his gave her chills. She covered her hubby dearest with the cosy comforter and placed a soft kiss on his searing forehead.
"I am there for you forever."..she whispered in his ears lovingly and side-hugged his resting body. "Ab jaldi se theek ho jao..warna mai gussa ho jaungi" .. she reprimanded him with a pout.
She moved up a little and looked at his peaceful face. God! She'd been blessed with the most beautiful person as her life partner. A person with not only a charismatic personality, but also with a beautiful heart. Oh how she loved him to bits!
She gave a last affectionate glance to him and got up from the bed.

1:15 am
Wrapped up in a comforting woollen shawl, she had been standing by the bedroom-window for past 45 minutes. Sleep was far away from her. She gazed at the wintry moonlight, trying to comfort her stressed self. And then, she glanced at him. He looked comfortable while resting.
"Seems he's getting better and better" she smiled at the very thought.
She rested her head against the window sill and closed her eyes. The thoughts of all their lovely encounters cascaded in front of her eyes. Their love confession, the first hug, the first kiss and the first love-making moments revolved in front of her eyes. She smiled as she recollected them all. Besides the intense bodily love, they had immense sense of understanding towards each other. They could talk to each other without even uttering any word. Such was their devoted love to each other!

3:30 am
She kept on recollecting all their moments which they spent together. This reminiscing gave her immense relief and much needed respite.
Still engrossed in her thoughts, her gaze again shifted to his sleeping form. Just then, her eyes caught his moving fingers. She immediately rushed to his bedside and moved lower to him.
"Jaan.. you ok? Theek ho tum?", she asked tenderly as she intertwined her fingers with his.
Jalal's closed eyes rolled slowly. And within a few seconds, his eyes opened a bit.
"It seems quite late.. and you're still awake Jaan?", his first words came as an enquiry in a drowsy yet firm tone.
She knew Jalal very well. He would first think for her and then for anything else. He hadn't realised how feverish he was, yet the first thing that came to his mind was Jodha.
"No no.. I was sleeping only.. just got up to have some water..", she lied. "But you tell me first, are you okay Jaan? Pata hai mai kitni worried thi!"
Jalal was semi-conscious due to the effects of medication, but he could make out things very well.
"Don't lie to me. You have been all awake since I fainted... Right?", this time his voice was firmer.
"Arre..", she had to come up with something sensible and quickly! And moreover, Jalal was her first priority. So, instead of answering anything, she lied beside him and side-hugged him.
"Thank god you opened your eyes at least once Jaan.. I was so tensed you know..Now I feel better.. ab please jaldi se theek ho jao..", her voice turned choky as she said that.
Jalal knew that she'd been in trouble and hadn't even slept so as to take care of him. He was upset at that fact but he felt luckiest too. He had the most wonderful wife in the whole world. A wife not only gorgeously beautiful, but also with a beautiful heart. So he decided not to chide her for being careless about herself, as she was already so troubled.
Instead, he took her in his solacing embrace and asked her to take rest. Jodha felt so secured and comfortable in his arms. "And don't you worry anymore.. I am feeling well and strong enough to run a marathon", he mischievously whispered in her ears.
A lovely smile crept upon Jodha's lips as she heard that. She hugged him tighter and then, rested in his arms. Both were at true peace now.

7:00 am
She moved her right hand lazily on the other side of the bed. She couldn't find him, and that's what made her open her eyes immediately.
She woke up with a startle and found her love nowhere. It didn't take long for her to get immensely worried all over again.
"Jalal..", her voice echoed in the room, and that's when Jalal came out of the bathroom.
She looked at him and was rendered speechless. He had just completed taking his shower. He was in his towel.
She got up from the bed and rushed towards him.
"Why did you get up Jalal? You have fever na.. why did you take a cold shower.. can't you just lie down and rest? Why do you keep troubling me? Cannot you see how worried I get seeing you in any worry?", she blubbered with a tinge of anger.
"Shh!", he kept his fingers on her mouth and without uttering any word, pulled her in a comforting hug.
He kept comforting her frayed nerves with the magical aura of his body. After a few minutes of cuddling, he spoke softly in her ears "Thanks so much for being there in my life and thanks so much for taking care of me. I love you Jodha! And don't worry na.. I am too strong to get affected by a tiny fever."
"You've taken enough care of me.. now its my turn to take care of you..", he continued and moved her a bit away from himself. Jodha looked at him affectionately.
She again moved closer to him and hugged him saying "You'll take care of me tab na when I get ill. And vo toh ho hi nahi sakta kyunki I have the best husband in the world".
"I have the bestest wifey too, you know!" , he teased and complimented her at the same time!
