What was your reaction when Gautam said he wanted to be a part of Bigg Boss?
I don't interfere in his career choices. I used to never watch Bigg Boss because there would be a lot of fights in the show and that would affect my blood pressure. However, since Gautam became a part of the show I have been watching it.In real life is Gautam the way he appears on the show - short-tempered, loud, foul-mouthed?
No. He is a very sweet natured and calm boy. I have never heard him back answer anybody. He is not fussy about food either, eats whatever I serve him. I am seeing a different Gautam in the show. Shayad game ke liye he must be behaving the way he is.
Do you think his friendship with Puneet Issar is good for him?
Gautam has a lot of respect for Puneet as he is elder to him. And Puneet loves my son. I see nothing wrong in their friendship. Gautam did not know anybody when he entered the house - he met Puneet in the show. When Puneet was evicted from the house, Gautam cried a lot. That's when Puneet realised that Gautam loves him from the heart and developed a soft corner for him. Even today when anybody fights with Puneet, Gautam takes his side.
Gautam is seen flaunting his body in the show. Was he always a gym freak?
Yes, Gautam loves dancing and working out in the gym. And he has had abs since he was 17 years. It's natural. He has learned dancing from Shiamak Davar, who just loves him. Once when he had performed Badtameez dil at an event, Shiamak had appreciated him a lot.
What is your take on his relationship with Diandra Soares. Did you see the episode where they shared a liplock?
I did not see the episode because my elder son (Mohit) had hinted that this would be shown. I don't know what is happening. Diandra is much older to him. I don't feel right about it.
Does he have a girlfriend?
In the seven years that he has stayed in Mumbai he has never told me about anyone. He has only made one sister who has a child and she has come home too. In school, he had made about 20 sisters and when they would come during festivals he would hide saying Mummy will have to buy so many gifts!
