Has anybody watched the promo of new show that is going to replace EHT?
Humein kaam karne ki zaroorat nahi kyonki hamare paas baap hai. Jo baap ka hai woh aapka hai.

Aur maa? Maa toh baap ke saath muft mein aati hai.

And his mother laughs on hearing him say mom comes free with dad.🤢

A show with such stupid and regressive dialogues is going to replace EHT?

Whatever EHT was, atleast it had very strong characters. It was a serious theme and initially taut story telling pace.

For this low brow show they rushed EHT and didn't let it complete even 3 remaining months?

Not even letting it last for whole December and making it rush with so many bloopers and loopholes!

Shameful!

Exactly anu
In another post also ,the TM had asked the reason why EHT is ending and we were dicussing about the new show promo pointing out that in no way it stands in league of EHT . i actually quoted your name in that post when saying that u had pointed out the loopholes to the writer and what the writer replies for that .

But , these are the kind of serials which will have high TRP's and run for long time in SP .No logic no story ,all BS ..that's what is the USP of SP hit serials. The new serial has found its home 🤢

That's just pathetic natville!
Maa toh baap ke saath free aati hai is such a lowly dialogue and to see maa and heroine laughing at this dialogue is a travesty!

I can't believe people like such regressive and predictable trash! As if re runs of Raja Babu on TV are not enough!

Star Plus interfered too much with EHT and ruined it. So many loopholes and loose ends! So many bloopers! Given the concept and cast it had, it didn't deserve such a botched up ending.

I have not seen he Promo's of that show.

But from what you have said Anu it is regressive and to show this kind of crap shows what the channel thinks of their audience and are in a hurry to end a fairly good show to bring utter B S to make money.

It is pathetic and I hope people will boycott shows on this channel to teach them a lesson and hurt them where it counts and that is their wallet.

I have seen that awful promo and couldnt believe my eyes and ears! But then why are we surprised?
TV serials are becoming increasingly regressive in recent times.
It seems TV channels and PH revel in showing such chauvinistic crap, with the male lead insulting women, treating the female lead like dirt, yet the FL running after him and kowtowing to his wishes.

Here male lead is calling his own mother an extra, Dad ke saath free mein ayi hai...like the soap u get free with the cooking oil. What a great mentality! šŸ‘ And mother is laughing at that comment! 😲

This male lead seems like a modified version of Shaurya, ameer baap ka bigda hua beta...Why shd I bother to work, I have a rich father!
And his parents seem to be the typical indulgent, blind parents!

I completely agree with you! Star Plus is too much. Apparently there is another programme on Star Plus currently, which is called Everest. Star Plus too is ending that show, although it has not even run for a month yet. Just because EHT and other shows like EHT are not saas - bahu shows, does not mean that pathetic Star Plus can cease such amazing shows! I have not seen the promo, but to be honest, I do not wish for my eyes to see the promo of this so called programme replacing our EHT! Star Plus is too fond of saas - bahu shows. And to think we thought Star Plus was becoming modern, and not being so backwards, but being forwards - I suppose we were all fooled by Star Plus. At least now people will open their eyes now, and Cienvistaas (the production team who created EHT), hopefully should not launch their shows on Star Plus, henceforth. Star Plus is just too overvalued. Star Plus also tends to lie a lot too! Have you noticed when their were rumours EHT was ending, the rumours mentioned that EHT was ending because their contract had expired! What rubbish and nonsense! EHT was signed for 1 year, not 8 - 9 months! Star Plus came up with this lie, so they can shift the blame onto the EHT production house for dragging the story too long, for which it is ending. I have learnt something regarding Star Plus - that it is a fraudulent channel and a saas - bahu- holic channel!

There is only one word for that promo. Bagho. Run Run Run as much away from SP. Please don't belittle EHT by even trying to compare it with the new show.
Even with loopholes and bloopers EHT is completely in a different league šŸ˜†. Even a comparison to the new show is an insult to whatever EHT has delivered so faršŸ˜†šŸ˜†

"Rishta wohi, soch nayi"

But Star Plus is really not following this seriously. So its the TRPs (whose measuring mechanism does not actually cover the entire viewership) only matters.

Ek Hasina Thi is a unique show. The story was supposed to bring justice to a young girl who along with her family have suffered most at the ruthless and powerful people of the society filled with corruption. While too much care was taken to show the evil getting its way in almost everything, the makers (or channel's intervention) did not take that care to show good winning over evil. Yes, ultimately Good only prevails over evil. But that has to be felt.
Instead of properly showing how good can also win over evil using smart ways, they are ending the show in a rather rushed up way.

Dev, Suchitra etc are good people who respect others and who prefer good. But they are shown as dumb people till almost the end. They are people with good intentions. Instead of showing how they can become a part of game (knowingly or unknowingly) which bring to downfall of the evil doers, their characters are shown in such a way that we feel that its better they were not in the show.

and people like Shaurya are shown to get their way some how or other and only to be shown as losing at the end.

The mission of the show is the journey of seeking justice where the obstacles are many and unpredictable. But in the journey of the show, the focus was only on the smart ways of the evil doers and how they turn out to be lucky all the time.

Just like they had shown Dr. Thakur as a person of positivity, a hope to the girl who was seeking justice, they could have shown the good people in the show also some how helping the girl in her pursuit.

Ek Haseena Thi had all the potential to show the journey of pursuit of justice giving positive vibes to the viewers.

But sadly the Channel does not seem to promote such thing.

During Star Parivar awards, the Channel heads were talking how they are focusing on giving shows giving importance to values. But are they really upto it?

The way they are ending the show, I really would think twice before deciding to watch any show which has promising promos.

Its really sad that these people give so much importance to TRPs rather than giving good shows with a strong message.

What I missed in EHT was delving into past of evil characters to know how they became what they did.
Regarding luck, no one was as lucky as Dev in this show.

I missed a strong police officer or lawyer in this one. Om Puri's character in Gupt are what people like Goenkas need. Heroine is okay but one solid ally from legal side was needed.

Actually EHT makers were confused. First they promoted it as dangerous love story with Durga hungry for revenge and Shaurya besotted in lust. Then they thought of making it a parallel journey of two women with Sakshi out to save son and Durga out to save sister. Then again they got confused and brought up unrequited love of Dev and Nitya, with theme that can love survive in this scenario?
Later they made it a family feud with marriage track.

Looking at their past promos and press releases I feel they handled it in a confused, haphazard manner.

They often thought of justice but then copied Revenge also which has equal cat and mouse game and revenge from all sides.

Still despite being all over the place, this show had far better positive and negative characters and story than this Maa toh baap ke saath free aati hai crap they are starting now!

Star Plus is really a shitty channel . One programme they talk about women's respect, livelihood and empowerment . They talk about protection to women etc etc and they bring about another crap which demeans women and calls them free , in that too a mother .
This is the values SP is trying to show to the viewers 😔 .
