waste of time and waste of money

but here I'm just posting box office figures and yet SRK fans are blind to see it, aren't they 😆

here you're, telling us, how it made 200cr, when it hasn't reached 180cr yet 👏

oh yeah, I forgot, you believe TA figures, in that case, hrithik is ahead of srk, hrithik's movie grossed 244cr, beat that srk 😆

Hahahhaa TA worshipers just fall flat on their faces especially those mocking Krishh's BO figures while shipping the same TA's HNY figure...😆

The film entered the 200 crore club, is a Super Hit (second biggest Hit of the year). Diwali period hasn't seen any film become biggest grosser of the year in many years, as Eid and Christmas are more profitable periods for film business. I feel if HNY and Kick switched release periods then HNY would've had lifetime collection of Kick atleast and Kick may have had lifetime collection that HNY currently has.

200?? Now that's a good one.😆😆

that's the thing na, they can't have it both ways. Either HNY made 179cr or krissh 3 made 244cr, they have to accept one of the scenarios 😆

and his fans are now telling me, not to post here 😆

I'll tell you guys how it is: Who are you guys to say that the 200 crore figure is wrong? Arsal-AK sarcastically calling my comment "now that's a good one".

Arsal-AK, bhaisaab, have you gone around India to check and calculate the collections yourself? Can you give any solid proof that the 177 crore figure from BOI is correct and that the 200 crore figure from Bollywood Hungama, producers, and other sources is wrong?

I'm not saying BOI is wrong. They could be right. They could be wrong. After all, when the media endorses figures from guys like Taran Adarsh, etc over BOI, and given the fact that BOI has no proper owner of the site, that does give at least a bit of an EDGE to collections of Taran Adarsh and other trade sources who report similar figures as him, correct?

I can take BOTH sources into consideration. If BOI's figure for HNY is 177 crores (and mind you, that is Hindi version alone, all versions combined adds some more crores), then we must also take into consideration that the figures of Bollywood Hungama, producers, etc is 200+ crores.

Oh and someone brought up Krrish 3. We CAN take all sources into consideration, but here's the problem: the differences ranged from like 170+ crores to 244 crores or something like that. That's like a 70 crore difference, nearly 100 crore difference! However, with films like ETT, Kick, CE, and HNY, the difference in lifetime collections is the usual difference of around 20 crores between BOI's numbers and producer's numbers. Therefore, the producer's figures of these films (including HNY) is more creditable and more possible than the producer's figures of Krrish 3.

The three biggest grossers of the year are Kick, Happy New Year and Bang Bang. These are not only the biggest grossers of the year but the most costliest films of the year. Bang Bang having the biggest cost to produce and release of over 160 crore making it the second most expensive Hindi film of all time.

The business of Kick and Happy New Year has been strong but the third week has disappointed compared to what the big releases did in 2013. Dhoom 3 and Chennai Express both grossed over 16 crore nett in week three.

It can be said that Kick and Happy new Year had competition in week three but it was a similar story for Chennai Express last year. The run of wide released films is getting shorter and shorter.

Below are the five week all India collections from the four the Delhi NCR area for New Year Bang Bang and Kick. (Note - Bang Bang first week is 8 days)

Five Weeks - Happy New Year v Bang Bang v Dhoom 3
Week Happy New Year Bang Bang Kick
One 1,33,35,00,000 1,12,81,00,000 1,55,71,00,000
Two 35,38,00,000 21,51,00,000 46,15,00,000
Three 7,45,00,000 6,04,00,000 8,36,00,000
Four 1,56,00,000 62,00,000 1,48,00,000
Five 34,00,000 8,00,000 26,00,000
TOTAL 1,78,08,00,000 1,41,06,00,000 2,11,96,00,000

So you were complaining that no one replied to your post. You didn't address me, did you now? I had no reason to reply, so here it is:

Yes, 200cr figure might be the correct one, might be

Yes, he can't give you the proof, no one has checked numbers for themselves, so how can you say that the 200cr number is correct? If its not 177 then its not 200 either.

Can you give any solid proof that figures from BOI are false and figures from BH are true?

Taran loses all credibility with his fake numbers of Krissh 3 and other movies. Producer figures also loses credibility as they post fake numbers to hype their movies, its like their success parties. This has been proven by industry veterans like aamir khan, ajay devgn, shahid kapoor, faridon, etc

Both figures can't be correct. Its one or the other, pick and choose.

so if producers fudge 20% then its okay but if they fudge 50% then its not? Yeh kiya logic hain? Its like saying, I'll accept 20cr difference between producers and BOI but if its 70cr then producers are wrong and fudging otherwise, they aren't 😆

haha, nope. Krissh 3 fudged 70cr and others do 10-20cr, that's the only difference.

you got your answer?

Why are you questioning whether I can give solid proof of a figure being correct or not when I am SAYING that none of us have any solid proof of it? That's exactly what I am trying to say...no one here has counted the figures ourselves, so who are to say whether the 177 crore figure is correct or the 200 crore figure is correct?

How much producers are fudging and to what extent is something that none us can know. What if BOI's figures are not correct for instance? Again, it is a bunch of what ifs and we can't make any argument until there is a proper single method for calculating figures in India.

At the end of the day that's why I believe we must take ALL sources into consideration. Whether it's Taran Adarsh, Komal Nahta, producers, BOI, etc look at all the numbers and give each of them some consideration. What was wrong was when you were completely dismissing the 200 crore figure of HNY and saying that the 177 crore figure of BOI is the only one that counts.
