Based on Manju Kapur's CUSTODY', Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is as unique as it can get. A strong author backed script, brilliant storytelling, a casting coup one has never come across on TV in a long-long time the show has everything that screams Entertainment ! Entertainment !! Entertainment !!!
One bond the is the most adored and cherished by the viewers is that of Ishita and Ruhi aka Ishima and Ru and in our Yeh Hai Mohabbatein One Year Special today we bring you the top 25 IshRu moments in the show over the past one year. It's no easy feat because each and every Ishita-Ruhi moment is amazing but inspite of it here are the top 25 moments between the mother-daughter duo that stood out.
How can we forget this scene? Mrs. Iyer tells Ishita that she will meet someone special. That she will fall in love with that person to the extent of even giving up her life for the same. Little did we know that the special someone' would be an adorable 6 year old girl named Ruhi. Fate had chosen Ruhi to be the one who would change Ishita's life forever.
Who wouldn't want such a blessing? The care and love Ishita showered upon Ruhi in the little days they spent together made Ishita special for Ruhi to the point that she got a mata raani's chunni' for Ishita.
The Judaai' style bindi sequence is sure a hot favorite but it just became all the more cute and adorable when Ruhi requested for a bindi' from Ishu and the latter chose to put it this way.
Ruhi accidentally gets locked in a dark room and starts panicking. When Ishita comes to know about the same she immediately tries to pacify the kid and diverts her mind by talking about Ruhi pet dog muthu'. That does the trick Ruhi gets engaged in the conversation during which Ishita gets the door unlocked.
There couldn't have been a more better way than this to ease away Ishita pain. Just like Ishita saw right through Ruhi and knew what the young girl wanted, Ruhi in her own little way knew how to bring a smile on Ishita's face and she does just that in this scene when she kisses away Ishita's pain.
Without choosing her parents Ruhi had chosen Ishita as the person she wanted to stay with. Truly one of the most amazing highlights of the show the scene that followed after, where a carefree Ruhi runs around, laughs and enjoys her moments with Ishita aunty was nothing in short of pure bliss.
his scene goes on to show how close these two have become. To meet her Ishita aunty Ruhi fakes having a tooth ache and when she sees that her mom (Read-Shagun) is leaving she gets back to her Masti self and decides to have fun with her favorite person.
Words would fail to describe this scene when Ruhi for the very first time call Ishita Mumma. Ruhi always wanted a mother and she found her in Ishita and to finally get to call the same Mumma' was truly a priceless moment. And this was a truly blessed moment for Ishita who according to science, medicine and society couldn't become a mother ever.
Ishita had not even become a mother still Ruhi gifted her The World's Best Mom' trophy. The small and big things that Ishita did, the love, the care Ishita showered on her in just the few days since they had met easily earned her the Best Mom' trophy. A truly epic moment.
At a glance this scene is a sweet simple scene between Ishita and Rahi but a closer look and there is more to it. Raman had lashed out at Ruhi in his drunk state but Ishita made sure that Ruhi's morning was not a painful but a happy one. She takes up her responsibility of Ruhi's Ishima immediately and starts by teaching Ruhi how to brush properly. Ruhi had missed out all this during her growing years but Ishita was more than ready to make up for it now.
Ever since Ishita became Ruhi's mom (Both by heart and legally) the two have always been together. No matter how late Ishita always came back home to Ruhi and the first time she became late the young kid cries herself to sleep. Ishita makes sure that the first person Ruhi sees when she wakes up is her IshiMa and thus follows this beautiful moment.
Raman makes Ishita apologize to Aditya for no fault of hers. Even a small kid of 6 years Ruhi understands that what Raman was doing to Ishita was wrong. In her own way she supports Ishita by first refusing to eat from the restaurant and then insisting that she wanted to go home. And that does the trick because Raman understands that he was wrong.
Ruhi asks Ishita if she would ever leave her because of what Raman did. For somebody who got her mother after all these years Ruhi's fear was well justified and the way Ishita explains to Ruhi that her mumma and papa both love her and will never leave her was a beautiful moment.
Ishita did not give birth to Ruhi but she was Ruhi's mother in true sense but when Puja asks Ishita about Ruhi's delivery' Ishita reveals that Ruhi is not her daughter. When Ruhi hears the same she argues with Ishita and later refuses to talk to her Ishima. Only after Ishita apologizing to Ruhi and agreeing to her condition to enact like Raman does she let go of her cute ghussa.
A mother fighting for her daughter is not new. At some point in life every mother fights for her child but when a 6 year old daughter fights with the world for her mother, advocates for her; that truly is a moment to cherish. Ruhi did not know the meaning of the word baanjh' but the word made her Ishima cry. Ruhi finds out from her dadi what the meaning of the word is and decides to speak up for her mumma. Her innocent question that How can her Ishima be baanjh when she-Ruhi is her daughter' was truly a slap on everybody who ever mocked Ishita and her motherhood.
The Param incident had shaken Ishita to the core. Raman kept cutting her calls and her in-law (women) chose not to believe her as Param had very slyly twisted the entire incident. But there was one person who came to Ishita's aid like she knew that the former needed her-Ruhi. She comes and tells her Ishima how she knew the latter would be afraid sleeping alone without actually knowing what the gravity of her words truly meant to Ishita who was struggling alone in her room thinking about the earlier incident.
Ruhi did not know the gravity of her words when she tells her Ishima that she will become a Dulhan'. All she wanted was for Mehendi to be applied on full arms and full legs and for that she was ready to become a bride. It's quite an interesting and realistic moment between a mother and her young daughter and that is what makes this moment really cute.
Senior and Junior Masterchef rocked this scene where Ishita had to prepare traditional Punjabi food especially chicken for Ruhi's Canada-wali Dadi'. Though the entire family ditched Ishita, Ruhi's presence and help more thand made up for it.
Even when not with her Ishima, Ruhi always manages to lift Ishita's spirits. Shagun had just taunted Ishita and called her Ruhi's aaya' though it did not affect Ishita much, Ruhi more than makes up for all off Shagun's spiteful words with her call where she asks Ishima to spent all of Papa's money and also get her hair done like Priyanka Chopra.
Though it was Ek Villain' promotion Ruhi's cute expressions when she drools over Siddarth Malhotra and Ishita lovingly looks at her daughter and later shares her experience with Siddarth who was her patient was one beautiful scene thanks to the cute mother-daughter duo.
This was a truly heart-wrenching moment. Though initially Ruhi refuses to go without Ishita the moment the latter explains how Ishita can only be the best Mumma if Ruhi becomes the best daughter by listening to the former and go along with Shagun, Adi and Raman to the family picnic.
After a tiring and hectic day all we want is to go back home to our loved ones and that is what this scene depicts. With the whole Accident' drama coming to and end there was nothing Ishita wanted more than to be with her daughter especially after not being able to be there for her for the past few days.
Ruhanika Dhawan was a true show stealer in this scene. She came to know that Raman never wanted her and it tore her apart. The way Ruhi reacted to the whole incident to the point where it made her wish that God should have put her in Ishima's tummy and the way Ishita handled her daughter was a truly heart wrenching moment.
Everybody tried to make Ishita break her vrat' (fast) but the only one who could get Ishita to break her fast was Ruhi. Though the youngest in the family, Ruhi spelled out bare truth to Ishita and got her to understand what she was doing to herself. That along with the fear that still resided in her small heart about things going back to how it was before Ishita entered their life makes Ishu open her mouth and drink the soup for the sake of her Ruhi.
