Performance 1:Ego Influenced Intimacy 0-AbhiGya

Last night's AbhiGya scene...

Story and Characters wise...

I was pretty excited about it watching the BTS, because i totally forgot the actual scene will contain dialogues 😛. They presented the BTS in such a way that it got me all ecstatic and hyper. And especially the background songs they use, they trigger ones imagination.

Now coming to the actual scene, i have mixed feelings. In the end, it turned out to be Abhi's fear of defamation and his egoistic instincts (Mardaangi factor...) that provoked him to force himself on Pragya just because he had 'certain' rights. One does want to punch Abhi, where it hurts the most, for a second and throw a bucket of ice water on him...😆...but then Pragya did the needful i.e. kick him out of the room. I actually did cheer for her then...Yo, Go Woman! 👏

But after tonight, the misunderstandings about Pragya being selfish, money-minded and characterless pretty much got to my head. Her hesitance and disgust, as regards to Abhi's behavior do make you feel for her. She doesn't deserve all this at all and Abhi really does need to lose her to realize what she's worth. He needs to repent all the mean things he has done to her. So, i do want her to be pretty serious with this divorce thing. Which is probably too much to hope for.

And Aaliyah!!!! May GOD not grant a sister like her to even our enemies...😊😆 Getting your own brother drunk, provoking his mardaangi and then guiding him towards Tanu...😡 What even mann!!! Somewhere it scares me...😕

Performance wise...

I'd give all the points in the world to Shabir-Sriti, along with a bow. 👏👏👏

Not being drunk and enacting to be heavily drunk can be difficult and at times turns out pretty fake on-screen. And for me, eyes play an important role in such scenes and Shabir's eyes were perfect enough to portray all the emotions that were required. And Sriti, every time she just leaves you in awe of her. The hesitancy, 'aap hosh mein nahi hai', revulsion...she was superb. I just can't decide who outshines whom in such scenes amongst them.

That eye-lock...it had the paranoid AbhiGya fan in me do a slight happy dance...😳

The 'patni ho tum meri...rishta juda hai humara'...it just had some sort of special effect to it. [Only if we had it actually mean something to Abhi...]

The way he said 'back to aashiq'...😆 for some reason i really liked it. Maybe his expressions.

Lastly, 'BAS KIJIYE'...😛...followed by the kicking out 👏

Shabbir looked so right for drunk Abhi in the scene. I was amazed when seeing BTS where a scene is cut and Abhi becomes a cute smily Shabbir..
I loved back to Aashiq and Bas Kijiye lines very much.
Sriti was outstanding especially towards the end.
My only complaint for the scene is that Pragya spoke a little more and denied his outlandish allegations. Yeah talking to a drunk man can be foolish but still, silence is often taken for a Yes!

Great post, saara ... and I totally agree with you! Actually, after watching the episode I was a bit ashamed of myself for being so happy and excited with the BTS!!!! But can't blame them ... that's the way they get their products sold 😊!!!!

Abhi had no thought of Pragya's feelings ... all we saw was the typical selfish man's ego, especially when it pertains to his sexual ability!!!! And that Aaliya ... is she a sister or an enemy?? Loved that Pragya kicked him out!!! Wonder if Abhi'll remember what he did???

As for the acting ... they were totally magnificent 👏!!!

Haven't been able to go through posts since yesterday so i was unsure what was everyones view with regards to the scene. Glad we are all on the same tangent.

Leaving everything aside...some bits were pretty sensuous...😛 I wish we could send only those to Tanu so that she ran away from their lives...😆...like morph them...like they morphed the MMS...😡

I remember that bit. He handed Sriti her dupatta. His switch-over was AHMAZING!!!

i loved the shabbz moment too! he's so wow.

and YES morph their mms! bahaha! unfortunately, with the way sriti consistently portrayed pragya's discomfort, i don't think there's any rescuing that particular footage. but i love the idea 😆

btw sara i just noticed the title of this post, "ego influenced intimacy" is SUCH a perfect way to put it! 👏

@ saara ... It's so true ... "birds of a feather flock together" .. . sometimes I'm amazed at the similar thoughts.😆 !!!! "Leaving everything aside...some bits were pretty sensuous...😛" And I'm so ashamed to say I enjoyed it ... drove his reasons for doing it straight out of my mind 😳!!!
