"The ball will be in Nandini's court. Ultimately, it'd be her who'd decide what she wants."
Anyone who's seen me in this forum since the beginning would know that this is what I've always said about the love triangle. And I was so right. Because if Nandini is not given the right to choose, she'll make sure to snatch it at any costs and then throw it right back in your face.
Because this girl is EVERYTHING.
I won't go in super long details, won't take away every little thing and make it into some intellectual analysis or something because there are so many people here who'd say it better than me and they already have. They'd speak about the show's brilliance, all the characters and everything. But I just want to talk about the reason why I am going to remember this show years from now on.
That one girl from Mangalore who dared.
Take Nandini away from KY2 and the whole show falls flat on its face.
Just yesterday, I was surfing the the site and some random forums and in one show's forum, someone was complaining why should the guy do everything? Why isn't the girl taking the first step? And I my heart swelled with pride and I said to myself with a sneer, "Well, my girl does it." And today, I saw a post on my FB where someone was praising the girl for taking the first step and I just shook my head and giggled, "She doing it now? My girl's been doing it since forever."
It wasn't about the punch, or her seduction. It was about her. About the way she's grown. About the way in this one night she took all that she learned here and used it for her gain. It was about the smile that crept on her face when she started, and the tears that she shed when it ended. It was about the way she brought him on the edge and pushed him away. It was about the way she won. I said it yesterday, Manik makes sure that he wins the battles. Nandini's nature is that she wins the war.
It's about the way this one girl whom no one takes too seriously has this insane ability to affect everyone who touches her life. The moment she steps in anyone's life, she becomes a massive part of it. Why? Because she is everything you ever needed but never realized. She's the reason, she's the logic, she's the perspective, she's the laugh, she's the tears, she's the innocence, she's the rage; what is it that this girl isn't?
When someone wants to establish their egoistic power - go to Nandini and the way she breaks down will satisfy it.
And when that very someone has to be given a reality check about all his power - turn to Nandini and the way she'd rip you apart with mere words in a few seconds will have you evaluating all your life choices.
Wanna know love - go to Nandini and the way she'd speak about her fireflies will have you falling in love with love itself.
Want to have any idea what heartbreak is - see her in the isolation of her room, asking helplessly why were her emotions played around with like that.
Ever seen what vulnerability is? It is the way her tears fell on the hands of the person who is the reason of the tears in the first place.
Strength personified? It's the way she furiously rubs away her tears and vows to never cry for someone who isn't worth it.
What is she? She's shades and layers and she's something new from any angle you see her. She's the force of the punch and the soothing of a touch. And she's all that at the same time.
Now tell me honestly, have you ever seen someone like her? Ever seen someone go through what she went through and still not change at a fundamental level? The way she was introduced to her, outsmarting the security people at the airport and running inside having what she wanted with her. Bunch of joy and giggles and care and mischief and dreams and reality. All together, all at the same time, still the same.
Why did I say that if we take her away from the show and the it falls flat on its face? Because the show is made of the characters and she's the one person who's there to call out on all of their bullshit. Without sugar coating or exaggeration, she's stand there, look you in the face and call it all out. One. By. One. She needs no elaborate plans or devilish schemes to get what she wants. She'd just stand there and with her mere words she'd give you Heaven or Hell. Everyone around her is lost in something. In ego, in God Complex, in superior motives, in confusion, in delusion, in ignorance, in satisfaction - and she's the only one who has a grip on it all.
I am so proud, so proud to have the priviledge of calling Nandini Murthy, "my girl." Because honestly, to all those who don't her...damn, you just wish your girls were even half as good as her.
