Saif ali khan and Govinda in avtar of their characters in the film Happy Ending are discussing about a new script. Govinda gives Saif idea about a villain coming to get an agreement signed by person. Saif notice same thing happening on opposite table. One of them then adds some liquid in the juice while the other one is busy in reading the documents. That person drinks juice and falls dead. Saif tries to catch other person but he escapes. Saif and Govinda then call CID.
Duo, Freddy, Pankaj and Shreya reach the spot and take details from UD(Saif) and Armaan(Govinda). Abhijeet and Daya find a parking ticket and driving license in the dead man's(Pratik) pockets. The hotel manager informs that Pratik is not their guest and agrees to make sketch of other man who ran away. They talk to the driver of the car who says he brought Pratik from hotel crown route. Freddy gets information from watchman that the other person came by scooter but ran away jumping the wall. Abhijeet asks Daya to check cctv footage and other details while he himself goes to other hotel.
Abhijeet, Dushyant, Nikhil and Ishita reach at hotel crown route. Manager tells them that Mr. Pratik was their regular customer and he lives in Delhi. CID team check Pratik's room and find 2 suitecases with loads of hidden cash. The manager tells cops about Avantika whom Pratik used to meet often.
Daya and Shreya check the cctv footage and notice a scooter parked since long time. On rewinding, they see owner of the scooter and hotel manager recognizes him as the person who ran away after killing Pratik.
CID team get address of the man (Ketan) from scooter's registration details and reach at a caf where he works. Caf manager tell Daya, Sachin and Shreya that Ketan left the job few days ago. He went out in the middle of the work and then did not return. Ketan's fellow workers tell cops about a lady customer named Avantika with whom he fell in love. Daya wonders if this is the same Avantika who used to meet Pratik. Ketan's co workers further say that Avantika used to meet a man and woman separately but she never met both of them together and then all three of them stopped coming to caf. Then one day Ketan saw a girl (possibly Avantika) hiding her face from shawl outside caf and left with her leaving his job. Cops ask them if they know more about the man and the woman to which they deny.
In Forensic lab, Dr.Salunkhe and Dr.Tarika tell that the juice which pratik had contains a drug that can paralyze a person for some time but could never kill one. They further inform that Pratik had thalassemia and hence used to have blood transfusion, recent one had poisonous blood which caused his death and not the juice he drank.
In CID bureau, Pankaj tells ACP sir and Abhijeet about tracing Ketan's phone near a place called Jhambwal (Sorry couldn't get the name) and he also called someone named Manan near the same area. Purvi while checking cctv footage of caf notice the man and woman coming to meet Avantika travel using taxi. ACP sir asks team to track down the taxies.
One of the taxi drivers recognize the man and says he took the taxi from Juhu circle.
Cops enquire in nearby areas about the man and one person recognizes him as Mr. Niranjan.
CID team led by Daya reaches Delhi and meet Pratik's wife. They ask her about 15 lakh rupees they found from Pratik's bag. She says she doesn't know anything about it so cops search Pratik's room for clues. Cops find a CD, photos of kids and a document enlisting name of kids and amount. Daya asks Sachin to send the evidence to bureau. Pratik's wife informs that his latest blood transfusion is done at City hospital.
In Mumbai, at Niranjan's house CID team find the woman who used to meet Avantika. Niranjan says Avantika is his daughter. Her mother says they used to live separately and Avantika used to meet them to bring them together again. Cops ask to meet Avantika and are shocked to see her on bed unconscious. Niranjan says she fell from stairs and had head injury, since then she is in coma.
Abhijeet, Dushyant and Nikhil find Ketan hiding in Manan's house and Ketan confesses he put the drug in Pratik's juice on Avantika's wish. He says it was Avantika who came to meet him outside caf. She was beaten badly by Pratik and asked him to give her father's will papers to Pratik and put drug into his juice. But when Praik fell from his chair, Ketan thought it wasn't drug but poison and so ran away and then tried to call Avantika but she never contacted him again.
In CID bureau, Purvi finds that the kids whose photos they found from Pratik's house went missing in the period 1997-2001. Abhijeet wonders why Pratik kept these photos so securely.
At Delhi, cops reach city hospital (They act very OTT in this scene, crying and pretending to be Pratik's relatives) and ask for Pratik's doctor. (They could have asked directly why so much OTT drama? Very stupid scene IMO). On receiving a tight slap from Daya, doctor confesses of giving poisonous blood to Pratik. Doctor says a person asked him to do so and in return got a good amount from a lady named Misha. Daya realizes Misha is the nurse who is taking care of Avantika and cops run to save Avantika.
At Niranjan's house, nurse Misha is about to inject Avantika when CID team reach there and stop her. She first says it is viatamin injection but when cops threaten to inject her with it, she confesses it contains poison. Niranjan and his wife come there hearing all the noise. Abhijeet asks them if Avantika is their real daughter.
Flashback shows that in the CD found from Pratik's home there is a list of people and details of their estate. Cops find that these are the parents of kids whose photos they got. They then call one of the parents from list and he says a man came to his house few months back claiming to be his lost son but he was a fraud as he ran away taking 6 crore from the parents. Purvi wonders if Avantika too belonged to the gang impersonating missing kids.
At present, Abhijeet says CID knows about Avantika's fake identity. She used to work for Pratik who used to plant people as missing kids of rich people to cheat and rob them. Also they found Niranjan's name in the list from CD and know he is one of Pratik's victim.
Niranjan confesses he had a doubt from beginning about Avantika (Rita in real) being fraud but didn't had proof for it. So one day he followed Rita and heard Pratik and Rita's conversation. He hears about Rita trying to convince Pratik to let her flee from Niranjan's house but Pratik threatens her of beating if she doesn't give 15 lakh rupees to her when he comes back. Niranjan then sent Misha with money to Pratik's doctor and also pushed Rita down the stairs but she didn't die instead went into coma.
Abhijeet says he sympathize Niranjan but he should have come to cops for help instead he disobeyed low and will be jailed for it.
