Sanjay Dutt turns to God for help

"Obviously this is a very important time in his life. Nowadays he makes it a point to say the Gayatri Mantra every morning before he does anything else. Every morning Sanju sits down for his prayers and nothing comes before he finishes saying them. He feels that it gives him a lot of peace of mind and calmness and when you are in need of help who else but God can help you?," says a close associate of the actor.

He goes on to say that Dutt has always been very religious and Navratri prayers in his house are often talked about. "During Navratri, Sanju ensures that detailed prayers are held. He becomes a pure vegetarian during the period and ensures that the prayers are done properly and earnestly," he adds.

Dutt is believed to be quite nervous about the hearing. In fact there were rumours earlier this week about Dutt being hospitalised due to extreme stress. Dutt has also been unable to shoot due to the pending case. On more than one occasion he has failed to reach the sets to shoot for Sanjay Gupta's Alibaug as well as Inder Kumar's Dhamaal.

The stress has got to Sanjay to such an extent that he is even considering shelving any celebrations for his 48th birthday on Sunday, July 29th.

Sanjay is hoping that when he goes to court tomorrow (July 27) his prayers are answered and he can finally put a closure to the case that has carried on for thirteen years now.
