Abhishek Bachchan can breathe easy, cuz we're only talking about the prized Persian cat on the Kyunki sets

Telly actor Ram Kapoor is a devoted animal lover. "I love everything, from snakes to dogs, but I have a special thing for cats," says the actor, who was recently pencilled in to play J R Thukral in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

Interestingly, Ram's character in the show has a penchant for Persian cats. Says Ram, "I love cats.

There's something immensely attractive about them. I have a great time shooting with the seven Persian cats on the Kyunki sets."

Moody blues

Ram is particularly fond of two cats on the show. "There's this particular black cat called Ash.

She is beautiful and a darling to work with.The second one is a white, playful and charming tomcat called Jagdish," he adds

Kapoor says that one has to be extremely sensitive while working with animals, as they tend to be extremely moody.

Recalling an incident, Ram says, "While shooting for a scene in Kyunki, one of the cats just refused to move so the caretaker tried to forcefully make her walk.

I lost it when I saw him misbehaving with the animal. I didn't mind waiting till the cats were comfortable and ready to shoot as cats are very moody. You have to be patient and loving with them."

The actor reveals that he is glued to the Discovery and National Geographic channels when at home. "Animals are truly gifted.

Human beings can hide emotions but animals are always transparent in their love and emotions," says the actor.
