Why did Dhruv propose when Nandini was ranting?

When has Dhruv ever listened to Nandani? This has been the case a lot recently, he doesnt probe her further on what exactly is the reason behind her tears. It goes through one ear and out the ear. Why is this character so diluted, butchered, or rather self-obsessed. He is living in a another world all together and THAT bugs me. The one guy Nandani claims as her friend, isn't even responsive to her - Who does she really have? No one.

Just like Manik has taken Nandani for granted to some level, Dhruv probably thought, "Of course Nandani will say yes"...and Yet I scratch my head and say, WHEN has Nandani ever hinted love from her side? WHEN?! Never. It has always just been smle and platonic friendship. The guy doesnt even get her - How can he be her friend?

Someone please snap this guy out. But what exactly? Seeing Manik and Nandani together in an embrace? When the reality hits him - he is going to be shattered, and just like this proposal was abrupt, that breakage point of his is going to be so fast, that it will hit him hard. Maybe then, I'll feel something for him, because I really would want to, yet this character gives me no reason to. Delusion-personified.

Dhruv is living in his own planet . What I don't get it? He can't see Nandini sadness n her ranting. He proposed at the sane time. Yyy?

Catty I think Dhruv is a very poorly written character. For arguments sake let us assume this affliction he has actually stunted his emotional iQ so understandably everyone treats him with kid gloves . Emotional stunting also prevents people from wandering out of their comfort zones hence my dilemma in his attachment to Nandu. If this attachment is seen in context with his affliction I would be seriously worried.

Him blurting out his feelings to Nandu was more out of being egged on. He would have never done this on his own. He is never going to understand Nandu's friendship,it's simplicity and platonic nature will be covered by Alyas singlemindedness and Maniks mahaanta.

i think dhruv just wanted to convince her that men can also love truly and in their dictionary there is also true love,he thought that proposing her or saying this things will make her feel good. but wat dhurv failed to see or understand that wat was nandini's state of mind, i think dhruv is not very good at mindreading,which manik or cabir is more capable of.

p.s- i dont want any fights,just stating my pov

but one thing for sure,nandini really managed it very well,but alya is still making him having hopes,which is further going to shatter him!!

Dhruv has created this illusion of his perfect world where everything goes in one direction but when all these break for him he will break that's why its better he comes out of it soon.. Dhruv picked such a wrong timing, instead he could have been a better friend and asked Nandini more details and could have just heard her out

he has always been like that..so oblivious to what nandu is talking or feeling..he just talks abt himself ..his emotions etc..like how he did in the musicana night...the girl was crying and he was asking her to make his dance special...

The answer is simple. Dhruv got a perfect opening when she talked of love. So he expressed his feelings towards her and made it a point to tell her that he is different.😊

Usually characters go through development or remain stagnant.. but Dhruv's one character that has gone through a downfall! I really liked him initially! If love makes ppl blind then what he feels for Nandini isn't even love because he can't see the real her.. the truth in her eyes..he can't sense the pain in her words..nothing...he simply can't see beyond himself!
I don't know how DhruLya would make a good pair..because Alya has only managed to make him look as dumb as possible!

Now that everyone is busy discussing Dhruv's delusional state of mind I am into more deeper question .. Did Dhruv ever love Nandini in the true sense of the word ?? Or it just Aliya's mindless pestering that made him believe that may be just in case he is in love with Nandini ..

And now that he proposed her in such a haste I am actually wondering if he was her friend ever because just one look at your face and your friend will know your state-of-mind .. So , even their friendship got brutally butchered in all this fiasco ...
