First of all, it wasn't really "disgusting" as how some of the members in the forum have put it. That being said, both of them are to be blamed for making an issue of the cigs..
Gautam was not wrong in asking for her cigarettes. He treated her similar to what he told everyone else. He asked Karishma for the cigarettes and he didn't just use the word "candy" for her either.. He actually used the word cigarettes for her too. Similarly, he asked Praneet to give up his too. But yes, what he said about how her parents should know of it was a bit below the belt. True, its not like her parents would not have seen her smoking on the show already but it wasn't really Gautam's place to say it. Hopefully, he apologized to her afterwards or at least tried to sort it all out with Sonali. If not, I would probably be a little upset too.
However, Sonali should be blamed just as much for making an issue of it. First, when he asked her to give it up... she kept asking "what?" Sonali, maybe if you weren't so zoned out all the time people would not have to keep repeating stuff for you on camera. Also, then she tried to poke Gautam by saying "why did you say this on camera?" fishing for a reply from him. Then when he gave her a reply she could have let it go, but no, she was not done making an issue of it so she went inside and cried instead of just trying to talk to Gautam about it. It kind of seemed like she wanted to make this a big issue. If she really did NOT want all this to be on camera like she claimed, then considering she has already seen the kind of crap they show on national television, she should NOT have made an issue of this and been sort of discrete about letting it go. So she is not all that blameless either.
