Even, the hoopla around Mangalyaan's launch was nothing compared to their Bollywood launch pad, big production house, touted directors, and above all B-town's most handsome hunks.

But even all this couldn't promise them long enough career in Bollywood.

While most of them just disappeared soon after their debut, handful of them somehow managed to stay afloat and make appearance 'here n there'.

Take a look at celebs that have gone missing for way too long...

Meghna Kothari

She became an overnight star with 'Prem Agan's release owing to her sizzling hot chemistery with lead Fardeen Khan.

Directed by noted actor Feroze Khan, the movie was a big launch pad for both Fardeen Khan and Meghna.

Meghna garnered much popularity thanks to her 'Exercise' song from the movie.

She was last seen playing role of Aishwarya Rai's sister in Gurinder Chaddha's 'Bride & Prejudice'.

Watch it here...

Ameesha Patel

They say in industry, never an actress got such a big launch followed by success like actress Ameesha Patel did.

She got paired up opposite Hrithik Roshan, who rose to become one of biggest hearth-throbs of Bollywood after 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai', that was a launch pad for both Hrithik & ameesha.

She made it quite well on 'Box Office' with commendable performances in movies, Gadar, Humraaz, Mangal Pandey amongst others.

After a string of failures, it seem Ameesha have gone into hiding; she barely makes public appearance these days.

Shamita Shetty

In 2010, Shamita made her debut with year's biggest project by YRF 'Mohabbatein'. A multi-starrer movie with big names like, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aishwarya Rai.

Though, she earned 'IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year - Female' along with fellow co-stars Kim Sharma, and Preeti Jhangiani.

Ever since then, Shamita was mostly seen performing item numbers.

Her last on-screen stint was in Bigg Boss season 3, which she too left for her sister Shilpa Shetty's wedding to Raj Kundra.

She is often seen attending public events with her sister & brother-in-law.

Rimi Sen

Rimi Sen landed her debut on-screen appearance opposite Aamir Khan in a Coca-Cola ad.

She was instantly noticed and was offered a multi-starrer movie 'Hungama', a comedy flick that gained commercial success.

Rimi soon went on to land roles in some of biggest hits, Dhoom, Golmaal, Garam Masala and more.

But soon after three flops in 2009, Rimi's career in Bollywood was visibly sinking and she went into an incessant hiding.

Antara Mali

She also earned a nomination for Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for 'Company'.

Soon after her films started to tank on Box-Ofiice, Antara decided to settle for a family life. She married Che Kurrien, Editor, GQ Magazine.

Antara Mali was last seen at her father famed photographer Jagdish Mali's funeral.

I vaguely remember Ameesha. The only movie I saw of hers was KNPH but I was busy staring at Hrithik to the exclusion of all else. 😆
