In Conversation with fashionista Nia Sharma!
So for our first Talking Fashion with your favourite TV celebs, we caught up with Nia Sharma, popularly remembered as Manvi of Ek Hazaaro Mein Meri Behna Hai and currently impressing audience as Roshni on Zee Tv show Jamai Raja.. In this exclusive interview with us, the stylish Telly Calender girl who recently shot for the calender featuring the best of telly industry in Jordan, shares her personal style statement, her favourite brands and much more. Read on to know what the pretty actress shared...
How would you define fashion?
Fashion for me is experimenting with clothes and something that you look good in that defines your body. Like I am a thin girl, so I love wearing body conscious ones, so yeah something that really defines your body and you don't look awkward, or you don't feel uncomfortable wearing them is fashion for me.
What is your style statement?
My style statement these days is that I am mostly in casual wear, like a nice white, blue or black crop top and baggy jeans or pants from Zara which are like narrow bottoms, and with a long chain.
What are your favourite brands?
My favourite brands would be Forever New, Zara and Mango because these are the brands which give you nice and classy clothing's plus you can get everything in one store, they have good stuff. Otherwise I pick things from here and there, so I collect and amalgamate and make my own stuffs .
If you could exchange your wardrobe with any other celeb who would that be?
(After thinking a lot) Umm it will be Fergie, I think yeah it would be her.
Do you follow fashion trends or you create your own fashion statements?
I don't follow fashion trends, I don't see anybody and immediately copy her, I would rather create my own. The clothes that I have in my wardrobe or the shoes I have, I try to mix and match those things and pretty much create my own stuff.
In just word word, how would you describe your own personal style?
It would be cool!
What are you most comfortable in?
I am most comfortable in crop tops and the Zara pants I wear all the time, you know those pyjama kind of pants with narrow bottom from Zara they are the most comfortable ones, I can go anywhere in the world wearing those.
Now you are also playing BCL, so how are you going to maintain your stylish self in the cricket pitch?
I think any day I am more of a sporty person, so that's why I am more spotted wearing crop tops and pants. For practice session I wear tight fit body conscious crop tops, otherwise I wear loose ones so anywhere my body should be defined in the clothes. I can never afford to wear loose clothes that don't define my body.
What style tips you would like to give to your fans?
I think instead of me giving them tips on style, it's them who actually keep giving me suggestions on style and fashion tips all the time, they send me pictures from across the Hollywood celebrities they want me to dress up like, and I honestly am telling them it helps me a lot. I also want to confess that a lot of time I learn from them, a lot of times they also send me pictures of hairdo that they want me to do, so it's like they always give me tips and suggestions and I feel happy about it.
