Genie had mentioned the classic The Beauty and the Beast trope in the AT.

So I went back and read the story and tried to collect my thoughts.

Nandini is the Belle, the classic beauty who is looking for her handsome prince that she dreams about(Dhruv) that she cant see that the Beast(Manik) in front of her is the actual prince. The one who has always been there for her.Then there's the spoiler of Manik saving her from Harshad, this time around Nandini will actually see that her prince/saviour has always been Manik.

Manik and Nandini deleting their messages, kind of had the clean slate feel to it when I saw it, as in they are wiping the slate clean and are going to start from the beginning again connecting to the whole going back to the beginning and rediscovering each other in this circular journey. When Nandini first came to SPACE, it was Cabir that she first met, and from indications, it might be Cabir that she will be friends with first in Fab5 (leaving Manik and Dhruv out here, because they have romantic inclinations)

Musicana I had always believed would start the second half of the story and in the 1st half,Harshad got to play hero and Fab5 the villain, but this time around, the roles have been reversed, its Harshad who is the villain and Fab5 the hero.Navya who see Harshad as her knight in shining armour will now see him as the coarse metal with no shine, no lustre, brittle and hard, it is just rust...pure rust.

If they pull this I will love them more. Manik being the ultimate Rumpelstiltskin to Nandu's Belle . Beast to her beauty . The one who lives on her light. Please be this awesome.

Yes to the new slate, the equations have changed will it also shift Manik and bring him out in the light , ready to be the saviour and not be relegated as the Monster of the dark.

After a 10 hr road trip, reading this felt really good Catty. Role reversals, retracing it from point 1 to now, and having all the characters go through a certain transformation, seeing them all in a new light as the slate has now been erased...Yet to watch the episode, but if they take it this way...Im so pumped for this journey! Chalo Ab, let me go watch...Im hearing and reading such wonderful posts...yours be the first one Catty!

CC I agree with you about the clean slate, new equations thing.. until this final confrontation happened, I think both of them were still clinging to a secret sliver of hope somewhere is their heart that all of this can somehow be undone.. which is why she even questions him about everything, trying to make sense of it all and he looks so disappointed and resigned when his half answers fail to enlighten her..

I like the idea of him shedding his mask and emerging as a 'prince' this time around.. we can already see how much he grows weary of his own facade and how all of this is taking a toll on his own sanity.. he really doesn't even want to be a monster anymore.. he's fed up of it all..

But what about Nandu? She started out as the classic 'Belle' dreaming of her ideal prince, but her faith has been shattered now.. and she is changed as a result of it.. Will she really buy the fairytale this time around? And after all that pain, does she even want a Prince Charming anymore?

Hers is the journey I'm most eager to see.. I really hope they don't trivialize her suffering and angst in the interest of the greater good of the other characters..

The new slate bit, they have attempted it, but memories they can't be erased like text messages, and soon they will have new experiences to add to old memories.

Its a fact in life, that sometimes to go forward, you need to go back. And its especially true for Manik and Nandini, because their relationship grew inspite of all the issues and problems. But for them to have a long-lasting relationship, they do need to kind of start from the beginning. Only this time around, there is love on both sides already.

I think what we are going to see with regards to Manik and Nandu is that both of them shifting towards more towards to the middle. If Manik is the dark, Nandu is the light, if Manik is the night, Nandu is day. As Manik shifts a little more to exploring his light, Nandu shifts a little more to explaining her dark.

And the meeting of their minds will be truly complete.

Nandu might not look for a white knight anymore. She would just be happy with her prince Manik, flawed and all!
