Forget Showmance, but there was a certain level of friendship between the two.

Sonali wanted a showmance and Gautam didn't.

Gautam is too focused on the game and that's all he talks about. Sonali just wants to chill.

Gautam was instigated by Dimpy and Sonali by Upen.

there was nothing between them sonali is a thali ka baigan as salman said kabhi upen kabhi gautam iam glad that gautam showed her a red signal when she was trying to flirt with him he clearly said that he doesnt need a girl to survive in the game she is more intrested in upen than gautam she was just using gautam to get footage thats it😆

They definitely could have taken it slow... I mean GG 's gf died few years back and he was not ready for this. But Sonali... uska kuch pata nahin chalti, feeling fake hai ki saach hai...

When in Friendship one person asks for more than a friendship but other person does not reciprocate the same feelings.. then most of the time friendship ends.. or even if it doesn't end officially, it becomes an awkward relation.. that's what happened in their case.. Sonali showed her feeling to him but he refused and preferred to remain a friend.. after that, she started avoiding him and even when they were together, she was uncomfortable and behaved awkwardly..
