The breathtaking visuals in Ashutosh Gowariker's 'Everest' on Star Plus are impressing the audiences. The channel took this a step further and brought alive the Everest experience for people in Mumbai and Delhi at key Costa Coffee outlets. The Mt Everest environment was recreated with temperature control, props and fake snow all over the outlets. The visitors got a chance to dress in mountaineering gear and with coffee in their hands, experienced temperatures as low as 7C. "Being transported to the Himalayas, sitting amidst the abundant snow... all this right in the middle of a warm November afternoon. What a fantastic experience it's been!" remarked one of them. The lead actors of the show even visited one of the outlets, where they interacted with the visitors and happily posed for pictures. Shamata Anchan, who plays Anjali Singh Rawat, couldn't stop raving about the icy ambience at the outlet. Being used to Mumbai's sweltering heat, she welcomed the chilly breeze and was instantly reminded of the time she was shooting for the show.
Rohan Gandotra, who essays the role of journalist Aakaash Joshi, had never seen snow before shooting for the show and was seen reminiscing about his first sighting of snow. Meanwhile, Sahil Salathia aka Arjun Sabhrawal couldn't get enough of the delicious coffee, something he had sorely missed while shooting at the Dokriani glacier. Enjoying the snowy ambience of the outlet, Shamata said, "The place looks fabulous. It's really cold here and I actually feel like I'm on Everest again." Rohan, who was equally thrilled, stated, "It reminded me of the time when I was shooting at the Dokriani glacier. So, while we experienced the show over there, you can still experience a bit of the Everest here at the outlet."
