raavan shooting incident - ravan/kanika

Jay Soni aka Ravan and Atishree Sarkar aka Kanika in the serial Ravan had a narrow escape recently while shooting in Umargaon. The actress was required to shoot for a boat sequence in the sea when she fell into the water. Atishree was on the verge of drowning when Jay Soni jumped into the water just in time to save her life.

Recalls Atishree, "I was shooting for the boat sequence where I had to jump into the sea. They kept the boat on the shore but because of the strong winds the boat started moving towards the middle of the sea. I was asked to jump into the water and I thought the water was less there. Because of the high tide I completely lost balance and couldn't swim to save my life. I was gasping for breath and was loosing consciousness as I had a lot of salt water. The unit members were so scared and they panicked. Luckily for me, Jay jumped into the water and managed pull me to the shore."

Jay Soni was not available to give his side of the story.
