The greatest scams which include deceit, swindle, and fraud, for several millennia that have ever been perpetrated on mankind have been in the name of God. Many will disagree because "It is written in the Holy Books"; to which I say, "by fallible men who often let their imaginations run amuck".
The "Holy Books" (Bible, Torah, Qur'an) were written during a time when superstitions prevailed. Superstitions are an irrational belief that someone or something causes an action or circumstance not logically related to a course of events that influences its outcome. A belief, practice, or rite irrationally maintained by ignorance of the laws of nature or by faith in magic or chance; a fearful or abject state of mind resulting from such ignorance or irrationality.
Christians, Jews and Muslims ALL claim that they live by the Word of God. They claim that God has personally talked to their messengers who have relayed these Words of God to the common folk in the writings of the Torah, Bible and the Qur'an.
The followers must unquestionably believe these Words of God or they will be condemned. If that is the case, apparently the Words of God were either misinterpreted, God is contradicting himself, or we start all over again by each side claiming to live by and having heard the Word of God correctly.
These so-called Holy Books could be inspirational and could help us in our journey through life if one discounts all the references to the writers vivid imaginations of physical sightings or conversations with God, Satan, snakes, devils or angels.
Condemnations of those who do not believe what is written or question these so-called Holy Books and condemnation of any kind also should be eliminated. The Torah, Bible and the Qur'an should be considered story books for spiritual inspiration only, or if they are to be taken seriously then they need to be edited and brought into the 21st century where rationality should prevail.
An interaction via the spirit is only possible when the mind is in mental stasis. The mind's ability to interpret this connection and messages is often deficient; hence we have the creation of various religions. Allah/God is spiritual. Man cannot physically hear God's words therefore any claims of having heard God's words are incorrect. God does not contradict himself, it is man's claims of having heard God's instructions physically that is contradictory.
Abraham, Moses, and Jesus were "messengers of God" whose mind interpreted their spirit's interaction with the Spirit of God according to their conditioning in that time period. Subsequent messengers were Muhammad, Ahmad, and Bah'u'llh. A messenger's spirit's interaction with Allah/God in our present time period, if that person's mind has voided all superstitions, would interpret the "Will of God" somewhat different than what is written in the Holy Books.
There will always be subsequent messengers as long as mankind exists. One must question if the goal was accomplished...& establish therefore that all religions are basically correct. Prophets of past who claimed having a personal contact with God had been inspired by the spiritual existence, thereby interpreting this ecstasy to the best of their ability and applying this wisdom to a time and date when kings, dictators and tribal leaders ruled the masses. Now a government is preferable and believe-it-or-not Allah/God is not a dictatorship, it is a spiritual government; an intellectually progressive composition of the souls of our ancestors.

I hesitated & changed my mind a couple of times on whether to post it or not...and expect some backlash...but truth must prevail. ❓
