How can Gautam trust Puneet in making him captain?

Puneet completely cost Gautam his chance in his captaincy competition with Upen.

How can Gautam believe Puneet when he says that he wants to make him captain?

Puneet already had a chance to make him captain and blew it. Salman even brought the truth about his intention out in the open yet Gautam still trusts him.

Either Puneet is too smart or Gautam is just not all that he claims himself to be.

He is dumb and important part known as 'brain' is missing.

He has no other choice. P2 anyways has given him the golden handshake. BG will anyways fight hard not to make him a captain. What else can be do? Even if he doesn't trust puneet, he can do nothing about it.

After today's task, I think even gauti understood that he's not going to be a captain any time soon.

Of course he can do something about it. He can use his own brain and not follow Puneet's words. He was doing fine using his own intelligence.

Playing the game individually is fine. But, to become a captain, he definitely needs support. And right now, he has none.
