Why live with one such man ?

Such a pity it is. A man in uniform and holding one of the most dignified post in the Indian army has such petty mentality. I am glad he din't have a son. His son's life would have been a nightmare, much more painful than what Anjali's life is now.

Either Brigadier would have forced his son to join the army or would have created another of his kind.

But Mrs. Rawat if I were you I would leave this man for his own good. He needs to learn the importance of women in his life.

I agree ! The man thinks of girls and women to be a trash!
The extreme disgust portrayed in his eyes is clear. I hate every bit of that man.
And even sad is that Anjali had to live in dark about it. I wish she knew about this since her childhood. Maybe it would have been a bit less painful.

Its really disgusting to see the approach of Brigadier Rawat towards his wife and daughter. In various parts of India this discrimination still continues and people have a strong belief that their dreams are possible only after having a boy. Sadly most of times their dreams shatter even after having a boy and girls are seen taking care of such parents who have hated them all the while for being a girl.

Deftly disgusting!!! Some men think tht women are meant only for kitchen and giving babies God!!! Irritating .

Then why these men want to marry women , they can marry a men and give birth to men ! There should have been an option like tht! Really makes me angry when men thinks about women in a wrong way and treat them badly.

Sometimes i think say 60-75% women in India given freedom to talk live their lives by own . They are much better compared to arab countries like israel , iran etc...The women suffer a lot there no freedom. The arab films made me think & realize !

The character Mr. Rawat , being in a respectable position , working for Mother India how come he can think his daughter and wife are nothing to him. What kind of marriage life he lived and father he is?

Mrs Rawat is a typical Indian lady who thinks marriage is part of life and after marriage woman should be expecting only x,y,z things. She is the representative of many such woman who indirectly encourage men like Rawat.
She is trying to make Anjali like her. You know you have to get married. What the hell. Why would a girl should get married just because she has completed graduation.
Because she never stood up for herself and her daughter Rawat is treating his wife and daughter like trash.
She should have had the courage to walk out of the marriage the day Rawat told her Anjali was his biggest mistake of life.
And then after suffering so much humiliation she tells her daughter marriage is not a punishment.
Ladies like Mrs Rawat needs to understand it is a punishment for self respecting woman who are not willing to tolerate men like Mr Rawat just because they got married to them.

yes i wish anjali knew. but no her mom in trying to keep a so called good image of her huysband in front of her daughter has messed it up more. but is anyone that blind not to see through her father's hate that she is so surprised n broken on knowing it.

i wish they had shown anjali angry with her dad, being sarcastic towards him, going to the everest coz she wants to prove she is equal to a boy not because she wants to win her fathers love. eho wants the love of such a father in the first place. she should have gone to show him that had he shared her dreams with her n motivated her she could have also fulfilled his dreams & even maybe joined an army
