Ash signs KJo's next with Aamir; KJo wanted her for Shuddhi

The Bacchan Bahu, who is on a comeback spree, has given the nod to Karan Johar's next project that will also star Aamir Khan

The Bachchan family's love for Karan Johar is reflected in the innumerous times its members have worked under the Dharma banner. While Big B, Jaya Bachchan and Abhishek have all been part of Karan Johar's films, the Bachchan bahu, after having stayed away so far for various reasons, is the latest one to join the bandwagon.

According to reliable sources, Karan Johar has offered Aishwarya a role in one of his upcoming ventures and the actress, who is on a comeback trail, has reportedly agreed to the offer.

Shedding light on the project, a close friend of both the Bachchans and the Johars revealed, "Aishwarya has never worked with Dharma Productions before. She was earlier supposed to play the female lead in Dostana. However, a particular part of the movie had Aishwarya paired with Bobby Deol while Abhishek was courting her in the movie which she felt would not sit well with the audience."

The source further revealed that Karan has offered her a role in a film he plans to make with Aamir Khan in the lead. "This will also be the first time that Aishwarya and Aamir will be sharing screen space after the short sequence in Dharmesh Darshan's Mela. Incidentally, this is also the first time that Aamir Khan would be working with the Dharma Banner," adds the source.
