HAPPY 🥳 BIRTHDAYGUNSEERAT..

5th november. 2014

Sammy's pov...

I woke up at 8 in the morning... came out of my room rubbing my eyes... half
sleepy... picked up my mobile and looked
at the lockscreen...

Me: ohh fish!!! Today is 5^th... o m g.. 8^th
is Gun's Birthday... what am I going to do now... ?? (I panicked and dropped the
mobile on the bed.. thankfully)

I again picked it up and sent a whatsapp message to Mahak...

" Mahak are you there?? "

Mahak replied: ha di I am always here..

Me: sunn... exam kesa hua??

Mahak: mera to humesha hi accha hota h..

Me: ohh... accha sunn.. mmm vo.. 8^th ko kya kar
rahe h??

Mahak: nothing I have my exams..

Dhatt teri ki... how am I going to do it alone...

Me: ohh ok... actually 8^th is Gun's birthday.. I am
planning something for her..

Mahak: (bumppphhh) really?? Wow that's great.. what do we
do now...??

Me: but you study.. I will manage..

Inside me: ha bolde plz.. how am I going to do it alone..
(fingers crossed)

Mahak: arey di I am super intellegent... I will manage...

Inside me: bingo...

Me: ok.. then lets create a thread on forums and let me ask
others too... u prepare your things..

Mahak: ok.. I will write an os for her..

Me: ok ok.. bye..

After a few hours..

I texted Mouli..

Mouli: are you there??

1 hour passed

No reply..

Me: mouli reply kar meri maa...

2 hours passed

No reply

Me: mouli you are gone now..

3 hours passed

No reply

Me: mouli tuje baat karni h ya nahi..

4 hours passed

Finally she replied..

Mouli: ha bol

Me: mouli yar where were you all the day??

Mouli: sorry dear.. I was at tuition... so couldn't catch up..

Me: ohh ok.. just chuck it.. listen... this 8^th is
Gun's birthday.. I am plaaning something for her... are you in...??

An hour passed

No reply..

Me: tu kaha h re..?? mouli...

After a few minutes..

Mouli: sorry I was stuck in traffic.. ab bol..

Me: are you in or not??

Mouli: of course, I am in... by the way birthday kiska h...

I was like what??? I slapped my head..

Me: mouli... ITS GuNseerat's birthday...

Mouli: ohh... Gunu's birthday sure..

Me: hmm.. now you start perparing your surprise for her... we
have to be ready by 7^th ok...

Mouli: hmmm ok,,,

Me: hmm bye...

Mouli: bye..

Finally after mouli.. I sent a message to Naz...

" hey Nazo, this 8^th is Gunseerat's birthday.. I
am planning to open a birthday thread for her.. are you in.."

Hours rolled no reply...

Then she replied...

" hey Samri.. yes I am in"

I to myself: hein!! Itna jaldi se maan gayi... great yar ... I
am impressed Nazo...

I replied " ok fine nazo.. just res your comment in the link
below... I will come back to you soon"

6^th november...

Bol to diya sabko... what am I going to do now?? I hope what
ever I do she likes it...

8^th november ..

12:00 am..

I texted Gun...

Me: Gun are you there??

Gun: hey sammy... me to owl hoo.. I am always awake..

(GUN to herself: arey today is my birthday... I have to stay
awake na.. wish me wish me sammy...)

Me: Gun I need a favor.. there is some problem in this
link.. can you check it plz...

Gun: ye lo... abi ati hoo.. wait..

GUN to herself: sab help lene ate h.. no body remembers my
birthday..

She opens the link...

"Hey sanyukta open the door ",i heard him pleading from outside ,but didn't move an inch ,i rooted myself to the floor leaning against the wooden door ...

"I am a piece of shit randhir ",i yelled as my voice choked and endless tears accompanied my hiccups

I heard him sliding down on the other side ,just as i did few moments back ,i felt him close as it was just a piece of wood separating us

"Open up Sanyukta,i am there for you ",he spoke with utter concern in his voice ,i could imagine him sighing

The dampness in the air reflected the tales of endless tears we were brimming together

"We?", yes we ...i could feel him crying with me though his trials for suppressing his hiccups were evident as he was choking between every other word he mouthed...

"Randhir ,you are crying?",i whispered yet audible enough

"No"was his answer as i had expected ,i could visualize him gulping in fear

"You 'll catch cold ,stop crying ",my voice echoed in the washroom as if asserting my command

"Is it about the harsh words ,your parents have put you through?",his voice dark and protective

A sudden urge of wrapping my arms round his frame and holding him tight lingered my senses

But all i could do was sinking again as the pain was gross

Silence prevailed as i didn't bother to reply

"I knew it ,i shouldn't have let you meet them on your own ,you have struggled so much to leave them behind and today it's all trashed ",he continued guessing it all correctly

"I should have listened to you ,but i wanted to have a glance of my mother's face ,i wanted to enjoy her melodious voice, her feathery touch "

"Emm so did you enjoy her voice ,rebuking you",he asked adding steaks of sarcasm

"Randhir you're making the things go worse "

"You have to console me!!" ,i reverted in haze

I heard some familiar whimper and bells tinkling

"Gordo"

"Gordo,my boy ,Mumma is upset ,come here ,shall we do something to cheer her up ?",i heard him asking

He must have stroked gordo's furry coat ,

I heard a scrambling sound as he got up and his fumble retreating steps were less audible now

Silence

I thought back and recounted how the day had started pleasently enough

Waking up and Crawling in his arms and now ...

I wasn't left alone with my thoughts for long because in a few minutes i heard randhir's heavy footsteps approaching along with gordo

He stopped right at the door and cleared his throat even as i wiped the snot beneath my nose with my knuckles

"I know you may not want to see me but it's a shame to let a hot chocolate go waste",he spoke gently

I felt myself pulled up ,was it a supernatural power or something ,i felt my entire body straightened up ,as if someone had triggered my bells on

"Damn you ,Randhir for knowing my weakness"

"With marshmellows ?",i whispered unable to hide my excitement as my mouth began salivating

I heard,no rather i felt him chuckle,i could very well imagine him giving gordo a thumbs up sign at his breakthrough and then he said those three magical words

"WITH WHIPPED CREAM",he chirped pausing at each syllable giving a dramatic effect

I was sold ,i jumped up to open the door with such a jolt ,he almost tripped as he was leaning against it again

"Err may i have your attention ,sanyukta",his words broke through my admiration of the huge mug of warm chocolate with an equally generous amount of whipped cream..

I avoided his stare ,feeling ugly with my smudged kohl,tear steaked face and my locks generating randoms patterns on my face

Instead i sank to the ground and patted gordo's head whose tail was already wagging fervently

"Hi gordo",i smiled

He rewarded me with a generous lick as i folded my legs beneath and sat beside gordo ,randhir did the same and handed me the mug

Finally i decided to meet his gaze

What the...

"What are you wearing",i asked signalling towards his head

"Well you see ..emm ..some random kid on streets was selling these and this thing really impressed me "he pointed towards the cat ears headband

"I thought ,i would try it for you to see",he added blinking his eyes a no. of times

"Oh randhir"

I tried to hold on ,i really did ..but the image of randhir with cat ears sticking out was unbearably funny ,i couldn't help but choke out a hearty laughter

"You ..you look..." i attempted to say between the giggles

"Yes,ridiculous...i know...but see you are laughing ..so these are worth it ",he spoke shaking those cat ears

"I was about to say adorable ,but yes that works too", i winked

I continued giggling taking glances ...as i sipped the hot chocolate ,

He just smiled looking at me ,a heavenly relief crossed his face as i laughed at him ,then as the laughter died down ,i looked at the wonderful man who was sitting in front of me

" You're amazing",

"Yes You are and i am so lucky ",i chirped

he shook his head ,smiling

"No you are wonderful and i am lucky as you allowed me to enter your wonderful life" ,he replied softly as he reached out for taking my right hand in his . He gave it a small assuring squeeze

I chuckled "no no ...see such a mess i am "

"Hey hey don't go around telling things like that ,for your kind information i am well known for my classy taste and only the finest of human beings can be the love of my life " , he mocked warmly

I kept staring at him ..fresh tears made their way

But this one time they brimmed out of happiness , those tears were grateful and touched ones

All because of you Randhir Singh Shekhawat ..all because of you. ..

I kept the mug aside and launched myself ..toppling him to the ground ,i wrapped my arms around him and burried my face into his chest

His hand snaked up gently to stroke my hair

"it will all get better...'"he murmured.

"It will. It will because I have you with me. And Gordo. And hot chocolate"

"I love you"i said, feeling my heart burst with love and affection for him and his "cat ears" .

"I love you too..."
