Director Shekhar Kapoor is all set to direct a fantasy andventure drama Tiger's Curse'. The film, to be produced by Lotus Entertainment, is based on a series of bestselling novels by Colleen Houck.

The story centers around a teenage girl who, while working at a circus, encounters a white tiger named Ren whose true identity is a prince under a 300-year curse, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

They team up to unravel a prophecy that might be the key to breaking the curse. Kapur, best known for his films like Masoom', Mr India', Bandit Queen' and Elizabeth'.

He has also announced plans to direct Paani' for Indian movie studio Yash Raj Films with Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role.

Err let him first start Paani..Then we can talk about other films..With this guy, we cant be sure until the film hits the theatres 😆

How many films has he decided upon already?! He's working on Paani, then there's another Hollywood film on the Armenian genocide (already announced and apparently in research stage currently), then he also said he was working on Masoom's sequel (something like that). Now this.

Shekhar sir, finish Paani, then do whatever you want to do man! :P I want my Sushant back to his original hairstyle soon! :'(

To those who are asking:

There were recently articles that Sushant has been preparing for Paani, not just in terms of preparing for the role but also in terms of preparing for the look. Ayesha Kapur was said to be the female lead in Paani, and Shanoo tweeted- my next- Ayesha Kapur, or something like that. VFX work in Paani was in full swing, Shekhar had been putting up pictures on instagram related to it too.

However, there is no clarity on dates. No one has spoken about it. The last someone spoke about it was the YRF spokesperson who had said Paani is beginning on Dec 1st, even though there were rumours that the movie is delayed. Those rumours are still active, no one has come up to give a statement.

One person who seems to regularly visit YRF and is close to Dibakar Banerjee recently tweeted about a lot of foreigners in YRF recently, (probably he was suggesting auditions for Paani or something like that) but I don't know if it actually means something or not.

Shekhar Kapur is doing Tiger's curse, he tweeted about it. But WHEN he is doing it, is not clear. No article mentions when the movie is going on floors. Similarily, few weeks back, there were also articles that he will be doing a film on Armenian Genocide, again, no dates about that too. These films might be due after Paani, or.. whatever.

Bahut confusion hai yahaan! Dekho aage aage hota hai kya! I am just glad Sushant has other projects too.
