Or Judging a movie/song/show by its promo/teaser

Should it not be done only in case of one's favorite or the courtesy extends to everyone?

Usually a song or teaser gives an idea about how the film will be, story wise. Whether itll be good, suck etc. There are exceptions, where a film you think would be good turns out crap and vice versa.

So I don't think it's wrong to write off or hail a film based on its song promos and teasers.

Favorite or non-favorite, i don think there is anything wrong in judging a film based on the teasers/ trailer..Afterall, thats the purpose of these promos..To give you a glimpse of what to expect from the film..For instance, i knew Besharam will suck at first glance 😆 More than bad trailers affecting good movies, i have seen the opposite happen a lot more..Brilliant/ slick & intriguing trailer but the actual film turns out to be a damp squib 😆

MK was a bit of a disappointment. I couldn't finish the film.

I personally agree..Don't see any harm in judging from the trailers..that's what they are for..

But time and again everyone advices to wait for the whole thing..even here on the forum..when most of the ones advising themselves judge the trailers

+1 especially for the for the red part

Often noticed people asking to wait for the whole deal when it comes to their favorite's movie even if the teaser is crappy..hence the question

No matter how much they promote a film, the first trailer is pretty much the acid test for ppl making their minds to see or not to see!
Only exception is diehard fans of the actors n actresses. Or directors
