I don't feel bad for Veera, she should have thought about this before insulting Baldev and slapping the poor guy. Its going to take a lot for the writers to redeem Veera in my eyes, not after what she did to Baldev.

I feel so bad for the poor guy, everyone thinks the worst of him well almost everyone. You would think at least one person he loved would come to his defense but nope they are all blinded by their perception of who this guy is and not the reality of who he is at heart. I really hope some day Baldev gets up in life and shuts all of them up good!!

You know, I think this is maybe why they actually went to the extent of having her slap him? I mean why have her slap him now, when all that happened was Ranvi spending some time in jail, when she didn't slap him when she thought he was responsible for the attack that put Ranvi in the hospital? She didn't even love him then!

I think the slap was put in deliberately to ensure that the whole thing would blow up enough to have him break things off with her. Otherwise, he'd just stick to his stance of 'as long as Veera is with me, I don't care about anyone or anything else'.

Like I mentioned in my earlier comment, there's been so much emphasis on him saying 'No one, including the people closest to me, can believe I'm capable of anything but Gundagardi' or some such. He has to care this time, because this includes Veera.

Maybe this time round he'll be genuinely hurt and angry enough to want to prove people wrong and bring about the career track we're all looking forward to?

I actually don't feel anything about the slap...my brain's going 'Oh, so that's probably why they needed her to slap him'. But also, I wish they'd gone about it better. I wish the reason had been bigger, that Veera had been more distraught or emotional or gotten some proof that made it look like the slap was a moment of emotional lapse of control on her part...am I making sense? 'Cos like I said, why would she slap him now when she loves him, when all she did was shove him and tell him to stay away from her Veerji in the previous instance when a) she wasn't in love with him at that point (far from), b) he genuinely looked guilty that time round and c) logically, some one physically harming Ranvi should have angered her more than someone trying to frame him and put him in jail (The police officer (RV) himself said 'I think he's innocent, someone is trying to frame him, we just need to find them to release Ranvi' etc. when he came to arrest Ranvi.)

EDITED TO ADD: Ok, on one hand I get how it'd hurt to believe that the person you loved tried to put your mother-like-brother in jail just to remove an obstacle to your wedding...but the events preceding the slap weren't very convincing...it ought to have taken more than a few words from Ranvi (he's been anti-Baldev long enough for everyone to have gotten used to it) and the new police inspector (she's never let stuff like that convince her before when she believed a loved one was being wronged) to have lead her to slap him.
