she was a superstar in the making

just happened to watch pardes today and she was brilliant. Looks, acting, she pretty much was the entire package and such a good performance in the first movie itself. She even won all the debut awards over aishwarya and rani that year.

What went wrong?

She started playing supporting roles too early in her career. Dhadkan, Dil Kya Kare, Dil Hai Tumhara, Om Jai Jagdish etc etc.

But the likes of Twinkle Khanna, Esha Deol, Asin et al also got best debutant awards. None of them made a mark either.

Pardes was a big hit.

She had a supporting role in Dhadkan as well.

The only thing i remember her for is Pardes,yeh tera ghar ymg, and aksar iss duniya mein🤔

she was bound to be flop.just starting opposite a superstar doesn't gaurantee a big success.No screen presence in Dil hai tumhara, dhadkan, Kudiyo ka hai zamana.Never found her beautiful either.And her voice during crying scenes is damn irritating.
