After reading about yesterday's episode, I realized one thing, why I am not, and probably will never become a fan of Indian Telly. I had great hopes for Harshad's show, but I realized yesterday, that in Indian Soaps "BAD," "EVIL," and "VILLAINS" will always win. Villains would have 10-20 victories before "good people" will have a tiny ray of sunshine in their lives and then the cycle of torture will begin with our villains winning and our heroes/goodhearted family member(s) suffering.
Why do they depict this???? Are these shows telling us that in reality "truth/goodness" is a hindrance, that the only way to thrive in this world is by being morally bad. The world that we live in is horrible, tragic, and unfair, we are made to believe that "kar bhala to ho bhala," or that "KARMA is B**ch." However, Indian shows defy these and show that if you are bad and are caught, all you will get is a slight slap on the wrist. That is the real world that we live in, where the wrongdoers are never brought to justice. Examples are ever present in the US, or Pakistan, or Indian news.

What irks me is that Indian shows spew morality, traditions, family values; but show how people who follow these value suffer over and over again and people who ignore these value are the ones who are successful and who thrive.

So I will watch my "Person's of Interests," or "ZGH," or "Arrow" in which the world despite being dark and gloomy give the heroes small victories to continue to do good. Where as in Indian Telly, eons are passed until our heroes have a moment of short lived happiness, only to have that hijacked by the villains within the same episode.

Well, that was a long rant...If you are reading this Happy Halloween, and enjoy those fun size candies.

I understand and I share your point of view partially...yes Indian Soaps tend to show that the good people are stupid and bad are smart...but this is not an Indian specialty, I 've watched other series (I'm fan of asian drama) in which lequelles I wanted to smack the characters...and Humsafars is no exception to this rule...But even...I will keep watching this show not for learn about life...but for the fun and the love story 😳...

And if I want to work my brain or reflect on important topics I'm currently watching Korean drama which are more interesting...

PS : Here some quotes that I love from a korean show that is great :

Da-jung: "You do have a right to say that to me right now. You're young, pretty, capable, and you probably earn a lot more money than I do. But don't think that's because you did your best and I didn't. It's simply because the world that you live in was a lot kinder to you than it was to me."

Woo-jin:
"Someone who confuses stupidity for niceness."
"I understand that you want to trust in people, But in order to trust, you have to doubt first."

So cheer up and do not leave this flaw of the show disturb you 😉

The problem is..Indian soaps thrive on loads of drama and are meant to run for as long as they can...both of these conditions are met by adding negativity and letting the protagonists of these shows fight more and more and more evil..!
Hence the nature of the stories in these shows!

Having said that they can definitely try to balance the mix of positive and negative characters...it's like they have to keep a choice of villains at times!

Happy Halloween to u

N ur right In a way ...u do Know tht unlike paki shows Like ZGh which was an epic ...the show in India are Long running and kind off over stretched plus the shows need a lot of drama quotient n TRPs are the issue why the makers can't tell their own story ...

Having said tht there have sure been some epic shows Here too n good actors too but the content quality has really deteriorated now ..with " rinse repeat " being the motto.
