Kyy is not the first show(Maryada was) toportray serious gay character

Maryada on star plus was the first show on Indian TV to portray realistic gay characters, not just for comic relief! It was not a stereotypical gay character. They were just like cabir or raghav who dress like men and are loved by women and they had a serious track for the gay relationship. And even ye Hai ashiqui and MTV webbed portrayed serious gay relationships but they were episodics of course.

I came to know of the gay track in Maryada an year after it ended --- I used to watch it and lost interest and then it just disappeared to 11 PM slot -- not for kids and all that bs after the new track
