Lekin haan I agree that us Indians are crazy for "bright people" and a true testimony of that is the "czarina of soaps" Kekta Kapoor and her loyal brillant kreatives (ahem ahem where is Nandu Basil?) who only come up with stories that include "ONS," "rape,"1.5 marriages", "OCD cartoon looking characters," Bhoots" and the list goes on. The masses who watch her shows daily (unfortunately I have to include myself in this category due to KS) are even crazier.

With regard to Prachi, you're right, for such a poor actress (per your evaluation), I cannot fathom why it is she has "so many fans."

If Prachi wasn't good, Jai and Bani's chemistry would be horrible, actually they would have no chemistry at all, so Bani is very important to KS.

You have your opinion and now I'd like to share mine. I think that Prachi is a damm good actress, young or not young. She IS Bani and I cannot imagine anyone else playing that role convincingly or infusing the life she has infused in Bani.

Yes, every actor/actress will have their bad days, even the most professional of them all. Just as I think that Prachi infused life into Bani, I think Ram Kapoor has infused life into Jai Walia but recently, both the character of Jai Walia and the actor are lackluster and lifeless. I can easily say that Jai Walia now has a real expressionless face. Similarly, you may appreciate Roshni Chopra's portrayl of Pia but I do not. Someone else may appreciate Ronit Roy's portrayal of AD but I happen to think that he is OTT and that turns me off. So as the cliche goes, each to their own.

You may think that Bani has a real expressionless face but I happen to think and love how she underplays the character and no over the top acting and that is what makes the character of Bani and the actress endearing to me.

Now she is Durga and I have to admit, though at first I wasn't too keen on this Durga character since the creatives more or less had her as a prop, she has been rocking recently.
