My response to closing a thread where an link to a newspaper article was posted:

I am pretty sure that this thread will be closed too.
But before that happens I want to make a point or two.

1. Relevance to EHT:
Rape is the centre point of EHT. If there was no rape, there would be no EHT.
The crime was covered up, the victim and her family endured undue suffering, and they were denied justice.

This was possible because none of those involved in the cover- ups felt any horror that this happened and everyone selfishly thought of only themselves and covering their backs.

Through Payal's story, EHT is holding a mirror to our society.
So discussing rape and how we manage it is very a relevant theme of discussion.

2. Posting articles is against rules:
OK , I had not read all the rules thoroughly, so will take your point. Have still not read them and perhaps won't and will trust you on this!😊

I think the thread was closed because it right way pointed fingers on Indian system based on a newspaper research. Anyways, I have to read the article to say anything about it .

Well the second point is somewhat funny.

IF closes those threads which have stuff taken from other sources( Fair enough). What exactly does it do when some other site take over IF products and use them as their own ?

We have no control over external sites. We can't do anything if your work from IF was stolen and pasted on other sites. Standard response!🥱
