In the movie Nikhah, the female lead's first husband was not bad either, but just brash who said "Talaq" without thinking. Her second relation started only with respect, turned to love much later.
Whatever the way story goes, it is important to build the lead's story strongly before anything. (In the movie, first meeting of the female lead was with her second husband. Her first love/first marriage was shown later as a flashback. So, we could accept her relationship with second one over first one easily). A similar theme in a recent show could not connect well with the audience. (Previous lead pair had established themselves, Parallel lead was introduced much later).
The reason we could accept Maneet was because, Dev was shown negative. But here, if Zaki is not negative (I know makers are trying hard to build a triangle by showing two parallel stories), travelling in two boats becomes a risky job.
I can't help falling in love with Zaki as a person (specially after yesterdays episode). Zaki obviously will have more screen presence because he is flamboyant. Also, Arzoo-Zaki look cute. Where does it lead to? Female lead having better chemistry with parallel lead over main lead will be suicidal for the show. They should somehow show, how Arzoo connects herself with reserved Sahir.
Finally, I started to watch this show for two reasons. 1> 4 Lions 2> Harshad Chopra. If the track focusses more on building parallel tracks (I am not saying don't build, it is the matter of screen space), their reputation will be at stake.
