Nisha - After today's episode, I honestly felt that it couldn't get any worse than this between Raman and Ishita. What have the writers done to these two beautiful people? All I am left is a poignant memory of what they used to be and what they have been reduced to. It is just plain pathetic to see the way Ishita's character has been chopped to bits and pieces. I used to admire her so much for her character in the initial days of the show which I cannot say the same now. To me, Character is grounded in integrity. Ishita was always shown as honest, credible and completely trustworthy individual who doesn't twist facts for personal advantage and was willing to stand up for what is right, kept all promises, and can be counted on to always tell the truth. A person with integrity makes sound decisions, especially when faced with moments of indecision, temptation and conflict. What in the world happened to Ishita that we all know of and loved so much? This track has resulted in complete assassination of her character and it is unfathomable to me that she still does n't have an inkling of doubt on herself as to why Raman is behaving this way. He is acting as though his world is falling apart. A person as compassionate and inquisitive as herself would want to get to the bottom of it and that is what I expect from her instead she is hell bent on calling him rude and not once think about what Toshiji told her about his past and his actions are exactly the same when his whole family fell apart.
Today, Raman crossed all his limits and the writers are for sure determined to ruin his character at all costs looks like. Why is Raman's character made to swing like a pendulum where one minute he is frustrated and to relieve his frustration he drinks and the next minute he acts all remorseful for his actions. There is no credibility in his character. He says that he wants to be firm and not cry anymore and make those who hurt him to pay for their deeds. Then the next second he cries and gets himself drunk. He had asked all the questions that he thought was appropriate despite some of them being plain derogatory, he couldn't ask the one question that whether she wants to be with him or get out of this marriage. All the beating around the bush was so not needed. This is the same Raman who gets to the point and now he does not know what he wants. He is scared that she might leave him if he asks that question but dying to let her know that she is characterless. He cannot have both ways. Seeds of doubt have already been sown in his mind and there is no way he is going to be peaceful unless he gets it out of his chest and spells it out verbatim to his dense wife and then wait for her response. He better be prepared for her wrath since he is questioning her character and integrity. No woman will tolerate that but in this case Ishita is just as responsible as Raman for this mess. She clearly knows that he is jealous and does not approve of Mani and yet goes around his back in the name of getting his position which to him is not the end of the world. She has no excuses to take Mani when all she was doing was to go to the hospital. This is the same woman who went to talk to a pervert like Param in the middle of the night and goes to attend emergencies at ungodly hours. What was the need to take Mani? When Raman questions his presence and he decides to leave why on earth would she grab his hand to make him stay? Why does he have to be a part of the husband and wife conversation. Ishita has really lost it and Romi has also told her that he does not even like his mom praising other boys in front of him then why unnecessarily she is fanning the fire? Why is she so touchy feely with Mani all the time? I can speak for myself here and that is not how you operate when you are just a friend. Occasionally if you are meeting a friend after a long time a hug is welcome which I do too but this looks like how a boy friend/girl friend would act especially when she was asking Mani to smell her flowers to see if it was fake or real in the party. How disgusting! Which friend does those kind of things? So, no doubt Raman is questioning her ways considering they all still live in India and for someone who has a painful past it is going to be even more hard to look and act normal when at the back of his mind that betrayal is going to be rearing its ugly head all the time. If this is how the writers plan to make peace with his past I am sorry to say that it is infuriating and not working for me one bit.
