I personally felt that this was an average episode, but definitely getting better (storyline wise).
I don't agree with you on the point of Alvira being Sahir's step-mom. I mean if she is why would she be bothered to get him married? She could have gotten Arzoo for Zaki instead, especially since Zaki is irresponsible and careless, while Arzoo is the exact opposite.
I believe that Alvira is Sahir's mom and the reason for getting Arzoo for Sahir is possibly because she's seen her most prized son have a troublesome past and has not gotten out of it yet. I think she believes that Arzoo, can relieve Sahir out of his past. Heal his wounds, complete him. Likewise how Sahir balances out the shortcomings in Arzoo. We haven't seen much about Arzoo's past other than her dad leaving her family at a tender age.
Moving on, Alvira has finally showed Kurti Appa her place. The dialogues exchanged in the kitchen are slowly moving the plot to where we want it. Alvira has decided to get Sahir-Arzoo married and I bet you she will (we don't know how long we will have to wait). As mothers are very protective and stubborn when it comes to their family and Alvira will be even more fierce as she has to make up for Sahir's dad as well.
Missed Zaki's charm in the episode today.
