Why didn't Indian Idol winners make any mark in music industry?

There is not a single Indian Idol winner or runners up who has made a mark in Bollywood or audio visual industry. Why? 😕

I found this photo from facebook. Two Bangladeshi went to visit India and they met with Abhijeet Sawant in Mumbai. 😊

I loved Abhijeet Sawant a lot . I rooted him during Indian Idol . And He was ACTUALLY very very Famous at that time . His Music Album got soo Popular . He Sang in some 1-2 Songs in Bolly movies But Sill Don't know Why he couldn't make it Big in Bollywood like Arijit .

Yeah, I find it strange, too.

I always thought Rahul Vaidya (2nd runner up) would make it big as his voice is a like Sonu Nigam's.

Actually Monali Thakur has sung quite a few Bollywood songs and recently acted in the movie Lakshmi as a lead as well!

I too liked him and he improved and had a good voice, im glad toshi and sharib who also reality star singers decided to become music composers made it big with raaz 2!! And still sing and compose with big banners and recently in varun davans humpty dumpty the song emotional !!

Poor Sandeep Acharya,winner of Indian Idol 2, who passed away because of jaundice. I recall rooting for Karunya - but liking Sandeep's personality nonetheless.

Abhijeet n Rahul r doing really well in marathi .Rahul Vaidya Sang in Race 2 His beinteha unplugged is fab
Aditi Paul sang Ang laga de n mor bani thanghat in Ram Leela Monali sings for pritam n her saawaar loon won her filmfare she also acted in nagesh kuknoor film.
Amit Tandon is a successful actor.
