Hi,
Here is the next chapter. I know I am again late with my update and most importantly I haven't replied to the comments of previous update. I will reply to all comments of both updates together. Seeing the reduced number of likes and comments it is evident that readers have lost interest in this ff and hence I am planning to wind it up with three or four more updates.
Chapter 35
Zoya continued to wince in pain holding her belly. No doubt everyone was scared. Asad carried Zoya to their room and made her lie down. Rashid called Dr.Saira and Dilshad tried to console Zeenat who was crying badly.
Asad made Zoya lie down on the bed.
Asad felt Zoya was relaxed.
As : " Jaan are you alright? Is it still paining?" Asad asked Zoya wiping off sweat drops from her forehead.
Zo : "Asad please give me some water."
Asad slightly raised Zoya's head and made her drink water.
As : " Is it still paining?"
Zo : " No.I am ok now."
As :" Abbu is calling doctor. Let me see when she will reach?"
As Asad was about to leave,Zoya: " Asaddd"
As: " Jaan what is it? Paining?"
Zo : " Asad I feel I am bleeding"
As: " What ?"
Zo : " Asad please let me to washroom. Let me check."
As : " Relax jaan, I will check"
Asad slightly lifted her dress and was shocked to see blood stains.
Zo : " Is it Asad?"
As: " Yes Jaan. Please don't panic. We will go to hospital right now."
Zo : " Asad my babies. Will they be fine? "
As :" of course Zoya. Please don't panic."
Though Asad was trying to console her, he was hell scared.
He carried Zoya in his arms and moved out of the room. Seeing this, Dilshad: " What happened? Where are you taking her?"
As: " Abbu, please inform doctor that I am bringing Zoya. She is bleeding."
Without waiting for more explanation to the family members, Asad took Zoya to his car and drove to hospital.
Rashid, Dilshad, Zeenat and Anwar followed Asad.
By the time they reached hospital, Zoya was already taken inside the observation room.
On seeing Rashid, As : " Abbu, they took Zoya inside. Please you go inside abbu and see whether she is alright. They won't let me in. Please abbu."
Ra : " Calm down Asad. Even they won't let me in. It is a female ward. Even other doctors are not allowed here."
Zeenat was crying badly. Anwar was trying hard to console her. Dilshad too was worried. She was praying continuously to keep Zoya and her babies safe.
After a while Dr. Saira came out.
As: " Dr, How is Zoya and the babies? Are they fine?"
Dr: " Relax Asad. Zoya is fine and also your babies. "
As: " But then bleeding?"
Dr: " Asad, it is not bleeding. It is just spotting. And it happens in pregnancy. She is fine.There is nothing to worry about spotting. But there is something else which is of concern"
As: " Dr"
Ra : " Dr. Saira, is there any complication?"
Dr: " As of now it is a No. But Zoya's blood pressure is very high which is definitely of concern. But her blood pressure has always been on lower side. I wonder how it has raised so much. Is she under stress or what?"
As: " Please doctor you are scaring me. Is Zoya fine?"
Dr: "Asad as of now she is fine. I have given her an injection. She is fine. But as I have told you earlier that she has to be kept away from stress and tension. If BP continues to rise like this, it may be fatal not only to the babies but also for Zoya too."
As: "Thank God that she is fine now. Yes doctor I will make sure that she will be completely away from stress."
Dr: " I know Asad that you all take care of Zoya very much.But what happened to her. Has something happened lately?"
Asad briefed her about all what happened.
Dr. Saira replied with a smile: " Of course Asad, she would be upset. Afterall it is her only brother's wedding. And why don't you take her then. It is just a two hour journey in flight. Apart from air sickness, there is nothing to worry. She will be fine. And moreover Dr. Rashid will be with you right? So everything should be fine. And Asad, Zoya in the condition where she is safe to travel. Only thing you need to take care is that she doesn't exert much. "
As: " Are you sure?"
Dr: " Of course Asad." She said tapping Asad's shoulder. As she was about to leave,
As: " Dr, Can I meet Zoya now? "
Dr: " Just a few minutes Asad. She will be shifted to the room. Then you can meet her. Since I have given her injection, she is under sedation. I guess it would be better to keep her under observation for tonight. I will discharge her tomorrow morning."
After a while, Zoya was shifted to her room. But Zoya was completely under sedation.
Asad went near her and sat by her side. He caressed her hair: " I am sorry jaan. I shouldn't have shouted at you. I am sorry to worry you so much. " He gently caressed her swollen belly too.
They were all waiting for Zoya to become conscious.
Asad asked all of them to go home as he will stay back and if there is anything to be worried, he would inform them.
Zoya opened her eyes to see a worried Asad sitting on a chair near her bed and caressing her hair.
Zo : " Asad"
As: " jaan, how are you feeling? Better?"
Zo : " I am ok. And how are the babies? Is anything wrong?"
As: " No jaan everything is fine. There is nothing to worry. "
Zoya tried to get up and Asad helped her. He made her sit comfortably with the help of pillow as back rest.
As : " Jaan. Let me inform doctor. I will be back soon"
Zo : " Hmm"
Asad was about to leave but then he came back and sat beside her.
As: " Zoya I am really sorry that I shouted at you. I shoudn't have done that."
Zo : " Its ok Asad. Even I behaved very badly. I don't know what happened to me that.."
As: " Sshh.. Its ok jaan . Now don't think about that much. You are not allowed to take stress jaan. You know your BP was very high. And it is apparently not good."
Zo: " Asad you please call the doctor. I want to go home.I don't want to stay here."
As: " But jaan, doctor has asked to keep you under observation tonight."
Zo : " Please Aashu. I want to go home."
As: " I will call doctor and come."
After doctor had checked on Zoya, Dr: " Zoya, no more stress. I hope I am clear and complete rest for a couple of days. "
Zo : " Doctor I promise I will take care complete care of myself. But I want to go home. I feel uneasiness here doctor. Please let me go home."
Dr: " Zoya, I understand why you have been feeling uneasy. I guess you got frightened by what you witnessed inside the female ward. Beta don't think about it too much.And if you are still feeling uncomfortable you can go home. But remember complete rest for a couple of days."
Doctor permitted Asad to take Zoya back home.
Zoya was silent on their way back home.
When they reached home, Dilshad asked Asad to take Zoya to their room.
After dinner, Zoya fell asleep. Asad noticed that Zoya was silent than usual. He thought she may be upset about what happened. He thought next day he would inform Zoya that if she wants they can go for Haider's wedding.
Next morning, Zeenat, Anwar and Haider came to meet Zoya. They all went to Asya's room as Zoya was taking rest. Asad too had taken an off from office to be with Zoya.
Asad couldn't talk to Zoya that morning as she woke up late, and before he could talk to her, Zeenat , Anwar and Haider had come.
Ze: " Beta, how are you feeling now?"
Zo : " Ammi I am ok. "
An: " Princess are you ok? You scared us."
Zo : " Even I was scared abbu. But now I am fine. Dont worry. And I am really very sorry that I behaved like that yesterday. I know I over reacted. I know very well that you all are worried about me. You all care about me. And I am really sorry for my behaviour."
Ze :" Its ok beta You needn't be sorry. It is just because of the circumstances and not that we don't love you anymore." Zeenat was in tears.
Zoya hugged Zeenat: " Ammi, I am really sorry.Please don't cry. I know you all love me."
Anwar took Zeenat away from Zoya as he didn't want Zoya to be stressed.
Haider sat beside Zoya
Ha: " Chutki, you need not worry. We will postpone the nikaah. "
Zo :" No bhaijaan Its ok. I know it is not possible to postpone the nikaah as Najma's brother will be coming only after two years again."
Ha : " So what chutki. We will get married by that time. There is no urgency ."
Zo :" No bhaijaan , there is no need to postpone the wedding. Two years is quite a long period and you can get married in between also because Najma cannot get married without her brother."
Ha: " Neither can I without my sister. If Najma wants her brother to attend our wedding, I also want my sister to attend my wedding."
Zoya was moved by Haider's words: " But bhaijaan, Najma's situation is different. She only has her brother and uncle. But you have everyone. And above all, as far as I know, her uncle is too ill. So if you postpone your wedding for two years, he may not even be able to attend your wedding. That would be so unfair.And please don't bother about me. Of course I will feel bad that I wont be there for your nikaah but even more than that I would be happy for you, bhaijaan. And trust me I am saying this whole heartedly. And what if I cant attend your nikaah, I can attend your Walimah, right? So please stop worrying about me and make arrangements fot your nikaah. And I will do all the shopping for Najma but after two days as doctor has advised rest for a couple of days."
After they left, Asad went to Zoya. He sat by her side
AS: " Jaan, I need to talk to you something."
Zo : " Asad please not now. I am feeling tired. Let me take a nap."
As: " Ok then take rest."
Asad noticed that Zoya was not even bothered to know what he wanted to tell her. She was not being herself. Asad sensed there was something terribly wrong with Zoya. He thought she would be upset as she wouldn't be able to attend haider's nikaah. He decided that he would talk to her once she wakes up.
When Zoya woke up, Asad fed her lunch.
As: " Jaan are you feeling good?"
Zo : " Hmm."
As: " Zoya are you still upset that you can attend Haider's wedding?"
Zo : " No Asad. I am happy for bhaijaan. But yes I will miss his wedding."
As: " There is no need to be upset. Doctor has given permission to take you to Lucknow. As per her, it is safe for you to travel. She has just asked you not to over strain yourself."
Zo: " Is it? Did the doctor say that? Lets decide about this later Asad. Anyway doctor has advised rest for a couple of days,na? Let it be over. After wards we will decide on that. But I guess I should not take the risk. Let it be for now."
Asad was puzzled at her reply. She replied so casually about this. Asad then concluded that what was upsetting Zoya was something else.
Two days went like that. Zoya was silent than usual. Only things she did was sleeping apart from timely meals. She got up from bed only for rest room breaks. Even if Asad tried to ask something also, her reply was confined to a yes or no.
After two days,Dr. Saira visited Zoya and she informed that Zoya as well as the babies are fit and fine. She also informed Zoya that it was safe for her to travel if she wanted to.
That evening, Asad returned from office early because he knew Dr.Saira would come for a visit.
After the doctor had left, Asad was trying to help Zoya lie down as she wanted to lie down. Asad sat near her holding her hands. He decided that he would talk to her.
As: " Jaan, if I ask you something will you be honest with me?"
Zo : " Of course Asad."
As: " Then tell me what is it that is affecting you. You know very well you are not supposed to take stress. So tell me what is it that is bothering you. Share it with me Zoya."
Asad saw Zoya's eyes tearing up.
As: " Jaan what happened you are scaring me."
Zo : " Asad I am scared."
As : " Scared? But why ? Are you scared because of what happened that day. There is nothing to be scared of. Doctor said it is all normal."
Zo: " Not that Asad. I am scared about delivery."
As : " But jaan there is still time for that. And why are you scared about it?"
Zo: " Asad do you know that day when they took me inside the ward, I heard women yelling in labour pain. I mean if they can't bear the pain with a single baby, how will I be able to deliver two babies. I am scared Aashu."
Asad caressed her hair and kissed her.
As: " Zoya, so you were worried about this all these days. Jaan, please relax. If you think you wont be able to bear the pain, we will request doctor to have a C-section so that you won't need to undergo the pain. But now for the time being stop thinking about that. And please don't give stress to yourself."
Asad tried to console Zoya by saying this though not sure about what he was telling her. Asad had learnt to tackle Zoya's insecurities and tantrums.
After dinner, Zoya and Asad were lying cuddling to each other. It has been a few days that they had become intimate and hence both were having the urge to make love. Since the feelings were mutual, the cuddling led into a love making session. But in between their love making, Zoya felt some uneasiness in her belly. She pulled off Asad much to his shock initially and then worries.
As: " Zoya, What happened?"
Zo: " Asad, there was a weird sensation in my tummy. So.."
As: " Are you sure you are ok or shall I call the doctor?"
But before Zoya could answer, she again felt the sensation, but this time it was more clear for her, the baby had kicked her. For the first time, she could feel the movement of her baby inside her. She was overwhelmed with happiness.
Asad who was worried was puzzled to see a smiling Zoya.
As: " What is it?"
Zo : " The baby kicked Asad. "
As: " What ? that baby.."
Zo: " Yes Aashu the baby kicked. I guess both of them kicked."
Zoya made Asad place his hands too over her belly and after a few seconds, they again felt the movement inside her tummy.
Both of them were on cloud nine. Though their love making has been interrupted, they were extremely happy with the new experience of feeling their babies.
Meanwhile both were amused too as Zoya felt her first kick from the baby at the time of love making. It seemed that the kids wanted to make the parents feel that they were not alone anymore.
The next day it has been the breaking news that the babies started kicking. Everyone visited Zoya to share the experience.
In the evening, everyone gathered in the Khan villa. The Farooquis, Nikhat, Najma, Humeira were all present.
Discussions were going on regarding the marriage. Since there were very few days left for the wedding, everything had to be done in a lightening speed.
As the discussions were going on, the door bell rang. Zoya who was returning from wash room went to open the door. She opened the door and she was shocked to her core to see the person.
Zoya turned and faced Asad who was sitting on the couch and screamed: " Assadd.."
