Ali is such a hypocrite and dafuq with these stereotypes. I mean just b/c he's from England his culture is different, I feel so offened by that. I'm from the US, and I would hate it if someone questioned my culture, values, and roots. Like who the hell are you to say that? Granted what Upen is doing with Soni is outright weird, but Ali is no one to make such stereotypes and place such advice to Sonali or any of the girls. He's basically saying girls and boys shouldn't act like that on TV, but it's ok to be like that in your personal life. Isn't the whole point of the show to just be?

Also, people will talk no matter what. I think it's so narrow minded to make such broad generalizations about people and people's cultures. I don't think culture plays any role into that...and to bring up a person's upbringing and parents--another low blow. Like who the hell are you to place such judgments on others. People can carefree and develop such relationships no matter where they live--whether it's India or England or US. Goes to show that he's a product of limited growth, culture, and knowledge. Upen's culture is different but haven't heard him swear, get aggresive, or act the way Ali did 2 days back. What about culture now, huh? Not even an Upen fan, but this culture statement was in such poor taste.

And then telling Tanna about the smoking. Just b/c they're women it's gonna look bad on TV. Isn't the whole point of BB to showcase your "real" self then why did her face fall flat when he told her? Just be yourself--who cares what people think? i don't know, but I find such thinking so uptight. Ali such sounds like a uber conservative prick, quite frankly.

I agree with you, I am from England, and a Patel and my parents have brought me up with "indian sanskar" - I was pretty darn offended with the BS that was coming out of ALI's mouth!!!
As for what Upen does, he is not the only one that is on that bed- what culture are Soni and Sushi been brought up in- do they not share the same so called culture as Ali and Sonali!
After this comment from Ali's mouth, i would like to see the back of him!!!
It really gets to me when Indians from India have the perception that those Indians that live out of India do not have the same Sanskar, culture and value! They are so ignorant!!

I was sooo annoyed!!! I was like hang on a second pal, what are you indirectly implying about those from the West.
Honestly hand and heart, I'm a British Pakistani, I've been 'back home' and obviously live in the UK, we are more intact with our culture in the UK than some of the girls back home. šŸ˜†šŸ˜†

I hate these stereotypes, just because he's not originally from India doesn't mean his 'culture' is completely different, like get your head out of the clouds man!

What Ali said is crap and what you people saying that you maintain Indian culture abroad is also crap.
What you maintain is a khichdi culture, na ghar ka, na ghatka.

Ans yes this is coming from a 2nd generation British indian.
