But this is karmic punishment for Suchitra for keeping silent, for doing Shaurya beta jaap and for bullying her own son. She needed this shock to wake her up to reality of snakes she has been feeding milk!

It was also needed for Dev to CONFIRM his family was crap. Otherwise he was not going after them much and still doing choti ma, chote papa jaap.

Dev also needs to get biggest jolt of his life on his father Arnab Goenka's death.

Yes it felt really bad when he had no water to drink even after getting beaten up. Rajnath threw his water. I hope that devil rots pining for water himself!😡
