Rakesh Bapat wants Abhay, Riteish for his film
Rakesh Bapat, who's currently seen in the serial Saathi Re (it will be going off the air soon) and is a member of IIFW (Indian Independent Filmmakers World) is gearing up to produce his first film under the banner Fycus Films Division. The film, a light-hearted romance, will be directed by Jatin Wagle and co-produced by Rupali Mehta (Mr And Mrs Iyer). Jatin has to his credit one Marathi film Chakwa that starred Atul Kulkarni and won the Maharashtra State Award. Currently, in the scripting stage, Rakesh hopes to rope in Abhay Deol or Riteish Deshmukh for the lead. "But it's too soon to contact the stars," he quips. Meanwhile, Rakesh has signed a film If I Could Love You More produced by Telefilms Canada and co-starring Lisa Ray "with whom talks are on". He, however, has no plans to act in his film because "producing and acting will be difficult."
