People, people. Can we please calm down?
- I, for one, wasn't disappointed with the episode. I admit there were parts which I felt could have been done in a much, much better way. But I certainly am not pissed as you all are. 😆
- Jensen Ackles deserves special accolades for this episode. Sure, he's directed before too but this was on a whole new level. I liked the pace of the episode, I liked how it kept me on edge throughout. Especially the cat and mouse race between Sam and Dean in the bunker, brilliantly done! 👏
- Now, not one scene bored me except for the finishing scene. We don't know whoever the creepy female was, probably the next Abbadon in making or whoever, I just didn't care.
- The purpose to show Crowley working in hell was to make it evident how business up there isn't in his control any longer. That Hell gets messy too, that Hell has rebels too, that Hells have demon who have got their own twisted principles and if the King violates them, they are more than ready to sacrifice their own lives than live in hell whose King himself has some serious unresolved issues. Crowley helped Castiel replenish his grace because he was the only help Winchesters had at hand and the sooner Dean is dealt with, the faster things will fall into place in Hell. Also, Crowley's humanity seems to have finally begun interfering, he's isn't exactly in a position to get over with alleged BFF.
- The sequence of Castiel regaining strength was well done too, imo. I just hope that both Castiel and his own storyline start picking up speed now. Also, Hannah seems like a good fit for Castiel and for the good or bad, he's realized that Hannah might have feelings for him.
- The fact that Sam led Lester into selling his soul isn't going to disturb me as much. They have been through horrible things, they have done horrible things and this measure was just another one taken out of desperation. No justifying though, what's wrong is wrong.
- I don't think I need to say about all those scenes in the bunker. There's nothing I did not like about those, from the direction to the dialogues, from the acting to chase, from the scared and unsure Sam to the highly sinister Dean. There was everything present in order to make the word chase and catch me if you can chase edgy, gripping and thrilling.
- We're so not done with Demon Dean yet. No Sir, I refuse to believe that he's cured. He isn't even cured 0.1% and this is something I feel very sure about. I may be wrong here but I feel very strongly that Dean is still a demon. It'll be such a waste of a great storyline if they wrap Demon Dean up in 3 odd episodes. Plus, I do not think its so easy to cure a human who became a demon post death, courtesy, the mark of the Cain. There's something really big up the sleeve! Notice the last moments of the episode, Dean didn't just seem like Dean himself. I am not talking about the aftermath here, I am saying he didn't essentially felt like Dean Winchester. May be he's faking it, he could pull off that off convincingly. I don't exactly know why I feel so strongly about this but I think we might get to see those black peppers on Dean sooner or later. It just seems a very unsettled end if the demon in Dean is so quickly and easily done with. He could bypass the devil's trap, he could open up the demon-hold cuffs, then he could very well have a way to deal with Holy water as well. I mean, cmon, he's THE KNIGHT OF HELL. It'll take more than purified blood, little latin, devil's trap, demon-hold cuffs and holy water to convince me that Dean is now again a human. It takes a lot more than to cure a regular demon and we're talking about the man who is a skilled hunter, a demon, a knight of hell and someone who has professional experience in dealing with things, situations and people, basically all sorts of crap.
- Some things really irked me though. -.- I know its because of Jared's shoulder surgery that he's being made to wear a chicken wing but it kinda gets frustrating to see him so defenceless. Also, I miss the Standford-brained Sam. If you take a closer look through the entire series, they have dumb-ed down Sam a bit. And that last scene, whoever that creepy female was, I didn't care. Give me a better finish, mann!
- I would be elated if some miracle brings Kripe back on board though. For I can appreciate the things we are getting now, I sure as hell would be GLAD if he gets back. Carver ain't bad but he tends to make some real unforgivable and unredeemable mistakes. 😳 - Lastly, I am gonna go and hug Sam for trying to achieve normalcy. 🤗 He wanted to bring his brother some cholestrol! :') Although, I feel bad for him because this is not over yet.
