SRK statue to be unveiled in GrevinMuseum

Speaking at a recent music launch, Khan spoke about the unveiling. "I don't know if I should be saying this or it should be announced later but France's Grevin Museum, like Madamme Tussauds museum in London, is going to put my statue, which is a big honour. I am supposedly the only living Indian who will be there," he said.

Although no dates have been finalised yet, SRK and his friends are very excited after hearing the news. Mushtaq Shiekh, author of Still Reading Khan and one of SRK's closest friends, says that this unveiling will probably have greater importance than the rest.

"Not taking away anything from the English or American, but the French are known to be very choosy about their taste and given that they have decided to take SRK, I think it speaks a lot. And I have an ulterior motive with all these unveilings," says Shiekh, "Every time something like this happens it means my book gets distributed it.. It happened at Madamme Tussauds and then after Warwick castle recently. So I'm probably happier than even SRK himself!"

King Khan will be the first Indian actor to find a place at the Grevin Museum in Paris. The French Grevin Museum has statues of Mahatma Gandhi, Salman Rushdie and writer and social activist Mahashweta Devi. SRK is already cast in wax and stands at Madamme Tussauds in London along with other Bollywood actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
