Hey guys,
Please don't mistake my humourous review as indifference for Sanam.
I adore Sanam.
Current track is very bad for Sanam.
I try to hide my stress and upset-ness in humour.
Believe me after yesterday's episode, I was only thinking of our dear Sanam.
From the very beginning (not saying everything is Aahils fault OK?), she has been made to suffer.
He almost ran down her sister.
He was rude in her dhaba, manhandled her.
SHe slapped him, but he burned down her dhaba.
She burned his car and threw his money in his face.
he walked away without so much as an after thought.
She got stood up at the altar, Rat stole all of their property and jewelry too.
She had to be strong to keep her family afloat, moved to Bhopal.
City of her parents love story.
Ran into Aahil again, like Fate.
Locked horns with him, humiliated by him.
Saved his grandmother, almost killed due to Will conspiracy.
But then she appeared on Aahil's radar, after he rescued her.
He found her fascinating, just to brood over, but not to stick his neck out for,
He was forced to marry Nida, who tortured Sanam at every turn with her snide nature, and eventually tried to murder her too.
Aahil rescued her, yet, was embroiled in his own misery, to reach out to her and his new feelings for her.
Tanveer played them both and got them married.
Sanam was emotionally blackmailed because her beloved Badi Ammi (her whole pillar of strength) needed surgery.
Aahil couldn't deal with his jealousy and really made life difficult for her, all the while falling more in love with her.
But she didn't feel any of that love.
Until Rehan left.
Then Aahil showed his gentle nature, tiny baby steps toward her.
Steps that she bounded in retaliation a hundred-fold when she nursed him back to health.
The love she gave in return was like an avalanche. He was powerless but to sit back and let it wash over him.
Yet, he didn't see his Ammi torturing Sanam behind his back. She was thrown about, ridiculed, suffocated and almost killed, because of his Ammi.
But she helped him through his fears too. Helped him let go of his nightmares, showed him that there is a life ahead free of guilt.
But she had to deal with his rejection again. His sudden about turn about their love, over his own insecurities. She reasoned with him and gave him the hope he wanted to save their fledgling relationship.
Then she found out the horrible truth about his childhood. ANd she was threatened yet again, this time with Aahil's life.
And in that turmoil, Aahil tell her he loves her.
She could only cry silently in her helpless state.
And then she was taken away.
And Aahil doesn't know, and takes time to discover she's not there.
I say this short time is too much time.
I can't bear to see Sanam in this condition.
It's not Aahil who is suffering here, yet again.
It's Sanam.
It's always been Sanam.
