Totally agree not realistic why not go to varads house then make your Vajood Shlok

there is nothing wrong in taking family/ friend/ well-wisher's help in tough times. its actually wise. he should have taken varad's help. but i guess shlok doesn't want to be under the weight of gratitude to anyone after being betrayed by his own father.

when shlok was under the gratitude of his father for the toxic love he gave him since his childhood (he didn't know that he deprived him of anjali's love), he could not do the right thing for any of the women in his life, be it jyothi/kavya/aastha/anjali. he tried to do his best for them without hurting his father, but that's not always possible. he ran away from facing the truth aastha was trying to tell him because of this gratitude towards niranjan, though he knew that aastha doesn't lie on such serious issues.

shlok asking aastha and anjali to go and stay at kirloskars is because he feels that they need not suffer in his struggle against his father to find his identity. Lord Rama asked Sita the same thing when he was about to go on exile to the forests, but Sita followed him to the forests.
