Other than that, I think we can agree to disagree on many things here as this is a never ending discussion. What I would like to say is that I'm glad that ZGH aired post Humsafar in Pakistan and aired before Humsafar in India. It has allowed people to look beyond Humsafar and this is exactly why these two shows are always compared. There was a time where these forums were so pro-Humsafar, that disagreeing to the notion that Humsafar is amazing would cause major problems for certain members here. So, for those who can't seem to wrap their heads around why it's always ZGH vs Humsafar..it's because the former is the only show which commercially gives Humsafar competition. In terms of content, well I think most people have agreed which one is superior in this very thread.

About Sanam Saeed's first project as an actress. It was a very small one. I can't recall the name..but it was mentioned a few pages back and Sultana Siddique mentioned it on JPJ once. That's where she took note of Sanam Saeed's potential.

They were fab from start to end...just like HS. ZGH was a show that suffered mainly coz the Hum channel honcho decided to come out of retirement to direct it, and no stone was left unturned to make it as big a hit as HS... So whilst i may respect ur liking for one show over the other, i find statements like the ones being made by @ arreyaar above " ..there is no depth in the characterizations or why they fall in love.." very silly... lol...yeah, coz the lack of characterisation, was the reason why HS created such a frenzy and got everyone in pak back to watching their urdu dramas and why streets emptied out when it was being aired...like seriously!!!

Someone here said, ZGH is more like social message. I strongly disagree. ZGH is whole lot of things. Every character is worth discussing, every character evolves as story progresses. Just because it is VERY close to real life, doesn't make it any less of awesome story & love-saga. Rather the real life aspect of ZGH puts it a far ahead of other shows.

Humsafar is just the dramatized Love story with very flawed writing. It is done to death already. It's popular because Fawad & Mahira are good looking pair. Doesn't same happen in Indian TV too.. a good looking pair & viewers go crazy. No story no substance.. who cares.
