Ye Bigg Boss hai ya Wrestling competition?

A lot has already been written about Diandra and I'm sure more criticisms will follow soon... but my question is - "why are we criticizing the players when the game itself is becoming more and more dirty... ?"
For God's sake this is Bigg boss not some dare-adventure show like Roadies or Fear Factor!

However, the reality is - Bigg Boss is indeed becoming some third-rate version of Roadies where both verbal and Physical violence is not just allowed but also encouraged by such games like angel-devil or hero-villain where the rules are either completely non-existent or at the most grossly ambiguous! Players are encouraged to twist the rules and play freestyle in the guise that - "kuch galat hoga to Bigg Boss bolenge na"!

Players know that at the most Bigg Boss will directly nominate them or give them some minor punishment but in doing verbal/physical violence the players will still be standing at advantage because -

1) The player will get instant Footage or limelight and would not appear boring
2) Bigg Boss will get regular MASALA (?) for at least a couple of days/weeks
3) Both the parties (Player as well as Bigg Boss) will benefit from such violent activities and hence, in the guise of public voting, Bigg Boss will keep that player in the show till at least the final 4 or 5

And...finally

in the final episode Bigg Boss will show that Achhayi wins over Burayi (kya kare unki bhi majboori hai bhai) thereby making such a contestant as winner who loosely fits in the frame of a classic hero/Heroine material...

Thinking about all this makes me questions why am I still seeing Bigg Boss...???

Probably because I want to identify myself with 1 or 2 good contestants who are striving hard to survive in an unfair environment of Bigg Boss just like any other average person who struggles with injustice in their day-to-day life...hoping that finally the Good will win...

We watch the show from start to end anchoring our hopes on this one single desire - 'Let the best player win' and all this while Bigg Boss will continue milking our frustrations against players like Diandra and Tanna to keep raising its TRP...

Seriously man... Why am I watching this show? 😡

For some verbal diarrhea/physical violence? Is that what you call MASALA?? 😡
I can see that MASALA free of cost in any slum area 24*7 (if I want to)... sorry

I really need to think whether I am prepared to watch this 3 month lambi Ramayan when I already know the results -

that they will let the villians (players like Diandra, Tanna) win till the end and then finally crown an andhe-me-kana raja as a winner so that we as an audience gets the message that 'Bigg boss ke ghar me der hai andher nahi' and ultimately good will win over evil...

Finally-

This punishment for Diandra (for physically abusing Sonali) is totally NOT ENOUGH...

I will wait till the weekend the war and see if Salman Bajaos their band ... if not then - Bigg Boss journey ends for me here itself...

bigg boss in a nutshell, is a reflection of real life, where the shrewd ppl get ahead by hook or crook and those trying to live honestly via merit have to struggle and are constantly beaten to ground ... that is the only real life application .. as for the good winning in end, that rarely happens in real life!

last year, the likes of gauhar, tanisha, armaan and kushal .. to some extent set a precedent, blatant disrespect of rules and bigg boss, using emotional blackmail and threats to get their demands met ... and bigg boss gave into it! the repercussions of that is clearly visible in this season, where contestants have no fear of repercussions to their actions, absolutely no respect for rules of game/contract, and severelly lacking moral chip!

the onux of reaction and action vests upon contestants and bb has become a pawn in their hands

Very true! that's why I said that in the end they will crown some 'andhe-me-kana-raja'...

"the onux of reaction and action vests upon contestants and bb has become a pawn in their hands"

Here I would slightly disagree...

It's true that contestants have begun to blatantly abuse the code of conduct since the last few seasons but tell me one thing -

When Bigg Boss is so strict about rules like regarding destruction of Bigg Boss property and punishes them even for acts of such violation like speaking in English or sleeping in daytime etc. then why is he so relaxed when it comes to physical violence (gaali, wrestling, whatever) which is probihited in their contract????

last year we saw Arman breaking all records in verbal and personal abuses...but what did Bigg Boss say - "Hum aise vyavahar ki ghor ninda karte hai"...

This year Gautam says one gali and Bingo - here you go - punishment is ready!

In previous seasons they would directly ELIMINATE (not nominate) contestants (like Pooja Misra, Kushal, etc) for pushing or grabbing other contestant...

This year it's a free ride!

contetants know that, as long as they are giving 'MASALA', they will only be NOMINATED at the most but not ELIMINATED!

that leniency is very reason why I said bb is a pawn .. bb needs the drama for trp n profit which is why every punishment is same direct nomination regardless of seriousness of wrongdoing ... the other reason is the unfair n boycot trend last year, causing some loss to bb!
