But I was thinking. KC is a vrath kept for the health, wealth and longetivity of life for one's husband. Durga was telling in mind in this fake shaadi this reeti riwaj is adding unnecessary headache.

So one thing is clear for me. Durga doesn't see Dev as her husband or even her love interest. Otherwise such a dialogue is unnecessary.

But for Suchitra she is willing to do the charade of KC Vrath.

TRP aunty might be happy seeing the obedient bahu but to be frank I am with Dev on this. I am fine with his shouting at Durga and telling he wont be there to break the fast.

Reason if you are doing some ritual for the sake of doing it and for someone else without understanding the meaning for which that ritual stands then better don't keep it to show off you are some great sanskaari ladki. Just deny it and tell I cant .

Suchitra wanted respect to increase in the relation if Durga keeps the fast right. For that Durga has to keep fast for Dev. From her mind the prayer has to come for his well being, his happiness and for that she should be having some genuine feelings towards him.

I am sure if she keeps it geniuenly for Dev and not for Suchitra's happiness Dev will be there somehow to break her fast.

I prefer CVs show it like that and not Dev is EBed to come to break Durga's fast. No respect will increase in such case. Only bitterness will grow.

I don't get it when it's a finite show ..why can't the makers tell their own story it was good anyway right ..

Indian shows only ruin the essence of such festivals. When Sakshi doesn't believe in such rituals there is no reason why Durga has to do this riti riwaz. Why such double standards ?

The idea is show that a rich and educated girl is also a sanskari se bhari bahu. Its pathetic.

Suchitra needs to understand that this couple needs time. I understand she has no idea about the deal but is she that blind to know that all is not well between the two ? All their equations have changed after marriage. They were colleagues , then were friends, then Durga was suppose to marry his cousin and finally they are a couple. How does she expect everything to go the conventional way? I won't be surprised if she starts doing vrats , pujas or havans for a grandchild too. Mujhe mere pote ki shakal dikha do Durga.

From Suchitra's point of view, Durga loved Shaurya. Dev loved Nitya. Why emotionally blackmail a girl to do something she would have not choose to do otherwise ?

Tv shows seems to believe marriage is the ultimate thing in life. Covered under the package of melodrama, Tv shows actually deals with the most practical fact of human evolution. Survival of human race depends on reproduction and reproduction needs a man and a woman irrespective of the circumstances that have brought them closer.

It is not that if Durga keeps fast suddenly Dev will feel love for her. That is not how the relationship is formed. I hope they show something sensible but for once I can perfectly understand Dev's anger.
