Episode begins with Nirmala pacing up and down the hallway in Parashar house, awaiting the arrival of her darling daughter with her husband…looked like it was just about the biggest bit of exercise she'd ever done, honestly…😉even Sanjay and Rangeela are perplexed, and are watching her with a twinge of strain in their necks…finally, her wait is over, and Jitisha arrives with her husband Himesh…after the initial very very affectionate and huggy pleasantries are exchanged between the four, Pari arrives with a smile on her face and a spring in her step…Jitisha greets her like a long lost sister…Nirmala does the Aarti and they both enter the house…everyone comes into the living room to greet the guests, and they settle down on the sofas and rugs in the main hall…😊
Nirmala enquires about her 3-and-half week trip to Australia…and I must say, apart from the contrast in size and shape, this Jitisha female's quite a replica of mommy dearest…speaks with the same amount of dripping affection, animation and most importantly, Exaggeration…😛and her husband's just like her, describing how they know no compromises in anything…everything must be perfect, from the hotel, to the room, to even the bathroom…and this likeness to Nirmala is made non-debatable by her inimitable – "trip itna achha tha, itna achha tha, ki kya bataoon kitna achha tha" – this time, from Jitisha's mouth…!😆 They also go on to describing pompously how they hired a limousine and the rest of the crap they said is fairly predictable…Shelly and Kamya are sitting on the sofa opposite the two newcomers…the only phrase that comes to my mind when I see them is – Grin And Bear It…and that's exactly what they did…😆
Just then, Saumya came down the stairs on his way out to office, and he is about to pass by without sparing them a single glance, when Dadaji stops him in his tracks…he greets the guests with an extremely awkward "Hi, Jitisha" and a curt "hello…" to her husband…he looked so uncomfortable I could see I-want-to-scoot-out-of-this-place-pronto written all over his face…then he made a bahana of an urgent meeting, and left, leaving Pari looking at once understanding and disappointed…
She then gets down to getting them some refreshments, but before she can leave, Jitisha goes into a speech about just how Himesh likes a glass of lukewarm water with half a lemon worth of juice, one teaspoon honey, and 10 bits of saunf to go…it has to be perfect you see…he won't drink it otherwise…🤢Pari just smiles and takes it all in with obedient nods, while Kamya seethes – not because she feels anything for Pari, but just coz she really can't swallow the idea of someone else giving orders in her house…Shelly watches with a blank expression and I feel like reminding Jitisha that it's her sister-in-law she's speaking to, not the cleaning lady of the house…😡
Later, Nirmala and Jitisha are unpacking in her room, when Jitisha discovers just how dirty her clothes are…makes me wonder how they have enough money to rent a limousine, and yet not enough to pay for laundry…hmm…interesting…anyway, Jitisha's grumbling about having to take home dirty clothes and having them washed herself…yeah, like that's such a huge task – instructing other people what to scrub and what to rinse…and Nirmala has her own set of bright ideas…she knows exactly how the clothes will not only be washed, but also ironed and folded ready to pack…and so she gets immediately to hollering for Pari…😡Pari arrives, ready for service, and Jitisha piles on clothes after clothes on her…so much so, that Pari can barely walk without tripping…but how does Jitisha care…it's the laundry that's important, not the launderer…and poor Pari does it all with a smile, totally oblivious to the fact that the mother-daughter duo exchange high-fives behind her back, making a mockery out of her selfless service…😡
Pari has prepared a chiku halwa for Jitisha just coz she mentioned that she liked it…Nirmala launches into further praise for hamari pyari bahu Pari…aur kuch khana ho to ise bata dena, turant tumhari khatirdari mein lag jayegi…huh…right…that seems the only job left for her to do, eh?…😡anyway, she also adds how good a cook Jitisha is, having taken a full year's course in Manorama Cookery Classes in Bhavnagar…to khud apne liye khana nahi bana sakti?! Poor Pari has to slog for her then…and what's more, that Jitisha has the guts to actually give Pari a cookery tip, telling her that the next time she makes halwa, she should add less elaichi…i'm prepared to bet anything that the only thing this Jitisha's cookery will ever lead to is an upset stomach...but Pari gets a bit worried, and Jitisha – the stupid witch – says – bura nahin hai halwa, kha lenge…like it was barely edible or something…😡and Pari being Pari, just smiled…and then, it got to it's crescendo point…Jitisha's gaze froze at the sight of Pari's necklace…and seizing the opportunity, she said that she still is her Nanad after all, so according to marriage customs, she has a right to ask for any one gift from her bhabhi…so what if she didn't have the courtesy to actually attend the marriage in question, hak to phir bhi banta hai na… and so she bluntly asks Pari for the necklace…😡at first Pari hesitates, coz it was given to her with a lot of love by danima, but then she smiles serenely, and just hands it over to Jitisha…just like that…and Jitisha is overjoyed…Kamya looks furious, while Shelly looks like she's having the primetime entertainment of her life…😡
At the Mehra residence, Rohit's father has suddenly fallen gravely ill…there's a doctor and everything…he prescribes a set of medicines and precautions to go with it, while Khushi hovers outside the door…Rohit leaves without even looking in her direction to get the medicines…she plucks up the courage to go upto the doctor in front of Bua to ask the precautions so that she can nurse him back to health... But before the doctor can say anything, Rohit stops him and says that he doesn't need a third person to take care of his father, which is something he can do very well on his own…he leaves after casting one last dirty look at Khushi…Khushi tries to move closer to Papaji, but Bua blocks her way, telling her that there's no way she'll let her manhoos shadow fall on her brother, after having lost her bhabhi to the same ill omen…she shuts the door of the room in Khushi's face, leaving her sobbing against it…😭
Jitisha is standing in front of the mirror admiring her new necklace, and Nirmala suggests how lovely it looks on her, and how bad it looked on Pari…😡just then Kamya walks in…since she hasn't had the chance to let out her venom lately, she decides to give her daily dose to these two…she very politely says that some people like taking things in lieu of relation by marriage, while they forget to attend the marriage altogether…they take their gifts, but give no gifts in return…Jitisha puts up the lame excuse of losing her gift bag at he airport, which contained all the stuff she'd bought…but Kamya's not convinced…so she politely suggests that jeb mein paisa ho to gift kahin bhi kharida ja sakta hai, koi aur sheher ho ya Mumbai…bas dene ki niyat honi chahiye…and with that, she strolls out, aware of her victory…👏
In the evening, Dadaji is talking to Himesh about business, while Nirmala, Sanjay and Jitisha look on…Himesh is no better himself…his motto in life seems to be – "No Compromise" even if that means putting in 50 crores as investment for something where Dadaji suggested 20 crores…it all works in grandeur you see…he likes everything perfect…and he can't fail…he never puts his hands into anything that fails…dude, I'm just waiting for that splat you'll be receiving in your face when your entire business collapses…😡just then, Saumya walks in, back from office, and this time, Dadaji asks him to sit down…he's obedient enough to do so, listening mutely to what Himesh is rattling out inconsequentially…Pari comes in with a salad, and offers it to Himesh, who curtly refuses it…but she affectionately persists, and when Saumya's had enough, he politely tells her to stop forcing the man if he doesn't want to eat…but Dadaji corrects him, saying that she ain't forcing no one…she's just taking care of him…Nirmala adds that bhabhi nahin karegi to kaun karega…she also describes how well her own bhabhi looks after Sanjay when they go home…Sanjay seems to think quite the opposite, but Sanjay has and always will second his wife in anything and everything…😆so Himesh obliges and takes a tiny bite, curtly declaring – "it's nice" absolutely expressionlessly…and just as i thought things are finally beginning to get ok, with a smile just warming across Saumya's face, his eyes fall on the necklace in Jitisha's neck, and the absense thereof, in Pari's…the episode ends with his befuddled and outraged expression…
Overall, quite a boring episode…total lack of warmth still…😭let's see what tomorrow has in store!😊
